I'll be standing in line for the midnight showing in a few hours. I'm so excited for this movie (haven't read the book yet but I'll start tomorrow).

Anyone else going to see it tonight?

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

I have tickets to see it saturday. Can't wait to hear your review Chris. :rock

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

Work is going to be an ass kicker tomorrow so it may have to wait til my lunch break but I'll certainly let everyone know how much I love it :D

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

Me too! What time and theater are you going to?

Me:
Jordan Commons, 5:15pm.

My brother got to go to a free, advanced screening yesterday. I got a free pass at school and of course I had a class durning the time. He loved it though and can't wait to see it again on Saturday.

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

OK, I'm tired as hell but all I can say is that it was f'n fantastic. I was on the edge of my seat the whole second half of the movie. I had a weird feeling in my chest towards the end and then I realized that I hadn't breathed in about 15 minutes. I can't wait to finish the book and go see it again next week.

And I'm not ashamed to say that there was at least one part that made me shed a few tears. :monkey2

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

Hey, I just got back from a midnight screening too - it was great! Loved the casting and particularly enjoyed Luna.

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

I forgot this was going to be in IMAX 3D... We have my fiance's nephew staying with us this weekend, might be a good reason to take in an expensive movie.

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

OK--it has earned the Chris Seal of Approval and so I guess I will have to go see it. I don't have a free night until Sunday, though. So it'll be a few days before I can give it my personal thumbs up. But it's good to hear good things.

Should I drive the extra hour to see it in IMAX? I want to see the climax in 3-D...

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

Loved Luna. Loved Bellatrix. Loved the wizard fight. Loved more Voldemort though he didn't have much dialogue which was a shame.

A good addition the HP movie set, but not great. Maybe my third favorite film behind #3 & 4. Felt rushed in spots, sluggish in others. There wasn't really a central mystery so I didn't feel as engaged in the plot as I was in the other films. It just unfolded in a very linear A->B->C->... fashion without any twists or turns.

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

Hoping to catch the IMAX showing tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to see the movie.

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

I saw a 1 hour documentary about it last week and it seemed to be prtty good moviewise... Though as all of the other films, it doesn't seem to stay true to the book:monkey4

The documentary was pretty good actually with interwievs etc. though for those who hadn't read the book it must've been a very big spoiler!

Re: HP- Order of the Pheonix

Caught the midnight showing last night and I liked it. Of course, some things were not true to the book, alot was omitted from the book, and some curious dialogue was added that wasn't even in the book. But I certainly left craving more.

I liked the Luna character and loved the wizard fight (although I wanted to see much more; it was great to finally see what powers those wizards have). I teared up at the end, for an obvious reason if you've read the book.

I like it that these films just keep getting darker. Highly recommend.
