I've had great dealings with every one I've bought so far. the only exception is the brown re-paint Alien. but with it's loose ankles it led itself to a bad A$$ crouching pose that it's been in sence I got it. I tend to take a flaw and let it work. except for the chest on the brown avp.
do all the brown Aliens have a curse? :horror

You don't want to grind the joint in the leg. The material in the hot toys joints are far superior then any joints I have seen. They use a really hard plastic which once you connect the joint should be tight. You never grind a joint to try to fit the peg. What you doing is that you losing friction once you grind the joint. Don't use a damn hair dryer. Why? because you have soft rubber all over the model. Once you heat that rubber, your kit will tear with least force. You need to use hot water on the joint itself. I mean boiling hot water. Put the peg in a eye cleaner container or a small container. The peg that looks like a globe. That will make the peg more softer. If possible both joints at the end but it will be hard because the joint in the leg is inside and that is hard to put on.

If you going to use the hair dryer. You going to need to cover the leg parts. You will also need gloves because you going to push hard even if the joints are heated up. If you worked with b-club or Kotobukiya joints for a while. A loose joint is nothing. You need to use super glue or masking sol to increase the friction. Masking sol will make the joint hold because its a layer of rubber on the joint that will increase the friction and fit. This will work on all the hot toys. I put a video for you guys if you having trouble. If you guys complain how hard to put the joint in then the first aliens figures must have been easy because all the joints are loose. I had to tear apart all the limbs and put masking sol on each joint to make it the ultimate aliens figure of all time.

A full frame. Movable bendable hands and a rubber suit. For the price they are selling. Its a steal. Japanese ^^^^ is so expensive that this beats it up par from those expensive medicom figures. Painted too.

I was pretty rough with my Dog Alien and there was not even the slightest concern for me that i was going to rip anything..make sure when you put the leg on, not to have the leg all bent up..extend it a tad to relieve stress on the joints and rubber..i used a knife and just circle cut over and over in the leg joint and then kept trying to fit the leg on the body..it eventually went in, i suggest when you get the figure to first thing grind the leg joing hole for a min then try fitting it, will reduce any chance of you ripping anything dramatically.

Mang!! its the outter lip that the ball gets stuck on, its way too small so, i grinded that a little bit..did not lose any ball-joint tightness at all because i did not grind the whole inner socket, just the lip of it a little..if your smart you will see what i am saying.

Masking sol .

https://www.hlj.com/product/MDLS106

You need to apply it on the joint , A THin layer. The layer will dry and become plastic like. Make sure you put some on the other side of the joint. You need to push the joint while its wet becasue that will allow it to spread. Make sure none of this stuff gets onto the rubber of the model, just the joint. This solvent will rip the paint off. completely.

What is this masking sol,and where can I get it? Thanks.

Thats good, just the lip but not the inside of the joint.

The child I was in 1992 when Alien 3 came out would never have believed it but I've come to not just 'like' this film - but really like it. Especially the extended cut. Alien resurrection just can't hold a candle to this, its a cartoon by comparison - not to be taken seriously as an actual Alien film IMO.

Yeah, well said, the first three are all great.
The original is just beyond reproach, ALIENS... well, everybody likes ALIENS it was a rollercoaster ride but ALIEN 3 is the slow-burner (specifically the assembly cut), it really gets under your skin, it's still flawed, but a damn fine, well acted and smart movie.

So far my dragon is fine, in fact I took him appart at the weekend to store for a while, no problems.

Glad to see the love for ALIEN 3 in here of late.
Great movie to me. Best actors in the cast, regardless of what I think of the other movies, this cast is the most top drawer in my mind.

My Dragon went together well. I would listen about the altering of joints too. I did that one time, to my regret...

I tried that last night. Grinded the lip of the joint and masking sol inside the joint. Works perfect. The ball snapped in and the joint is tight. You were totally right on this grinding. You need to grind the lip for sure to put the joint in.

I disagree.
Mine popped right in without any alterations whatsoever.
(No heating up of the joints neither)

The joints are tight and I haven't had any problems with mine.

my joints were find to, they just need some elbow grease!

Alien 3 opened my eyes so to speak about dramatic lighting and visual storytelling. I was in 9th grade when it came out and I was a HUGE Alien fan. I couldn't believe where they took the third film. It was shocking after Aliens was so successful to take it back to one Alien and surround Ripley with unlikeable characters. The whole movie was a downer. And I LOVED it. David Fincher was immediately one of my favorite filmmakers. The extended cut only amplified how much I love this movie.

My only criticism of the Alien 3 extended cut is that too many of the new scenes have Ripley arguing that the company are not coming to kill the Alien - it rams that point home and then keeps repeating it. I'm pretty sure Ripley tells it to 85 about 3 times! It reminds me of the Star Wars ANH special edition where the new Jabba scene repeats almost exactly the dialogue from the Greedo scene - it was unnecessary.

Apart from that its a very good film. The creature was excellent - benefitting from the fact it was the only one, it helped to create more menace about it. It gave the Alien back its ''perfect organism'' status of the first film.

It also has a few genuinely good characters that I just didn't appreciate when I was younger - I was just so annoyed that they killed Hicks. But lets face it even had he survived the crash the writers probably would have killed him later in the film anyway and no new characters would have gotten a chance to shine in the meantime - like Dillon and Clements, even Andrews, '85' and Morse.

Hello everybody, today I also received my Dog Alien. I really like this figure a lot and it perfectly complements my other Alien figures from Hot Toys. However: There seems to be some sort of problem regarding the hand socket of the right arm (the one which has to be attached). Somehow, the socket where the pin of the hand has to be inserted seems to be missing on my figure. When I'm sqeezing the outer rubber shell the inner plastics part seems to start about 5mm inside of the rubber. This is in contrast to the left arm where the inner plastics part can be seen and goes right to the end of the arm. The pin of the hand is also very loose on the right side possibly due to this missing part. As I'm not sure whether this is part of the design I wanted to ask whether somebody else has this problem. Thanks a lot in advance!

Theres only 2 parts. Socket which is the hand. Double Ball joint which is attached to the body. It is normal that the socket is enclosed in the hand.
If you want it to look like the other side. You will need to move the socket up towards by pulling on the elastic plastic in the hand downward but why would you do that.

Sorry for the bad description. The hands are of course connected via ball joints to the corresponding arms which are again connected to the body. The ball joint itself looks like this:

---O---

Here, the --- symbolize the pins of the ball joint and the O the ball joint itself. If you assemble the hole thing you get the following:

Hand---O---Arm

The pins of the ball joints are connected to the arm by sliding the pin into a plastic tube in the arm. On the left side I can see the end of the tube which is covered by the outer rubber body. On the ride side, my arm seems to miss a part of the tube where the pin should be inserted resulting in a very loose connection.
