Great review Wookster! One question though: both figures come with an analog watch, got a picture?

Hi they do indeed come with watches, it's the one item I didn't put on my figs as I was changing the hands so much for the photo's.I'll try and take a pic of them tonight.

Read the review, very informative, especially since there were reports of problems with the rubber suit. Just one question if you can help.

According to the review Brierios has the body of a Predator figure, what color is the plastic under the armored suit? Does it have all of the Predator qualities, like scaly skin, etc?

I posted this over in the other Appleseed thread last night-

As I said in the review I didn't have any issues with paint peeling etc, but some have, so HT have issued handling instructions that will aparently be packed with all future Appleseed figures.

Thanks to Crowinghorse over at OSW for this-

Posing instructions:

- Some poses require assistance by hands and/or re-usable adhesive, such as gun holding, etc.

- Make use of the figure stand for posing and figure display, the assembled figurine might not stand alone without the figure stand because of the heavy weight

Handling notes:

- The body armor and figurine are made of special material of PVC, please pay attention to the maintenance of the body armors

- Do not allow the figurines to be highlighted and come in contact with fire and heat, this could lead to damaging the PVC material

- Do not bend and/(or) stretch the body armor with excessive forces when posing, this might cause damage to the body surface appearance

- Please take ultra care when handling the articulated points

- Do not wipe the figurine with thinner, benzene, alcohol or the like, this could cause damage to the body and armor material

- Do not press and squeeze the surface of body armor, it might (cause) damage to the surface

But I have to say I did put mine through their paces and luckily didn't have any problems.
The big thing to avoid seems to be leaving Deunans arms bent tight at the elbow, as where the rubber makes contact against itself seems to cause the paint to peel if left for extended periods.

So it seems there is a possible problem with the paint work on Deunan, but I was lucky, i left mine with a tight posed arm for over 16 hrs and it kind of looked like it had lightly tacked itself to itself but came appart without any dammage.

And the only area I could see the Pred body was by lifting the rubber suit on the back at waist height, yes it was scaly there, but I can't tell you about the rest of the bod as I'm not risking pulling it off.

Cool, thanks for the information. These are excellent rules to live by if you want to keep these figures in top shape. I was just interested in the body underneath. The quality of these armored figures opens a whole new world of possibilities in 1/6 figures.
Depending on license issues, I could see a Hulk figure in the future with the techniques they have used.
