Still look Pastel-ish to me.

PS: Dont mind the circles. It was a pic I used in the now closed 2.0 Joker thread.

Yeah, still looks pastel to me too.

I think as long as the socks are the same pattern and general colors it's kind of OCD to expect more than that. Customs socks is going too far.

Meh. I couldnt care less about the socks. They could give him black socks for all I care.

For most characters I would agree with you, but between the seated pose and the on-the-ground-interogation-room pose, the socks will show. And the original color pallet on the socks is just so much better than pastel. You don't agree?

I mean, if your intent is to only pose him standing up straight with the pants touching the shoes, then sure they may as well be black (for example, my DX01 will always have the stock socks because I like the grenade pose), but for this figure I don't want to be limited at all. This is the end-all-beat-all DK Joker. And if it doesn't get socks right, I will buy customs.

To put this in context, I really don't have "OCD" for screen accuracy. I'm all about: what looks good on the shelf. For example, I think the red liner on the DX01 overcoat looks awesome. It's part of an excellent color pallet. So I have never been interested in getting it customized, even though it's not "screen accurate". However, with my nurse Joker, the display is just miles cooler with the custom socks. Even if you don't remember what the socks looked like on screen, the real colors are just so much more appealing than pastel. :monkey4

Still on the socks.:lol

I have to agree with Maglor though. With a standing pose I don't care but with the socks exposed I much prefer those custom ones shown above. They just simply look better. WHo did those?

Any one know of a good seller selling Nurse Joker customs? I'm in the market now that HT went on the record as saying Nolan Vetoed it ever being made.

I can't get my head around why they won't. They stated something about after Ledgers death it wouldn't be right. Or something to that effect. :dunno Huh??

KingGrayskull. :lecture

Looks like I will be hitting him up if HT gives us the old pastels. :lol

To me, that can be a totally different thing. Its one thing to make something screen accurate and another to make it the way it was intended to look on screen. For example, would you want a T1 BD T-800 to look like the crappy puppet they used to get the endo under the skin or like Arnold like it was intended to? Things like that I don't mind them taking liberties one. Especially when it can end up looking BETTER than what was in the movie.

Patterns and colors aren't the same thing. Its either right or its not. Its like giving the Joker a yellow jacket because they felt like it. :dunno

I just feel like they've done the Heath Joker so many times now that if they're going to do it again, they shouldn't screw up ANYTHING. Them just using the same innaccurate sock pattern and colors is just plain lazy at this point.

If they don't get the socks right, this will be an easy pass for me. I like to roll the pant cuffs up on all of my figures like I used to do to my own pants back in the late 80's/early 90's so the socks become a very prominent part of my display.

You know, I consider socks the most important part of anyone's wardrobe. I used to yell at the TV back in the day when Miami Vice would come on and Don Johnson would prance around with no socks on. "What a horse's ass!" I'd yell and then run to my room and cry, then open my sock drawer and everything would be OK. Perhaps Hot Toys will learn their lesson if we ignore any of the figures they release without screen-accurate socks. I'm tired of pulling the boots off my Batman figures and finding NO SOCKS AT ALL! Come on Hot Toys, stop being lazy and give Batman the socks he deserves. Deezy out.

While I hope for a reveal tonight, I'm trying to convince myself otherwise, so that HT doesn't dash those hopes. It's been a year already, though, and I think that, knowing that the prototype is already done, we've waited long enough. I'd be really pissed if they said something along the lines of "Hello, Hot Toys fans, we are pleased to tell you that The Joker DX 2.0 will be coming soon. Please stay with us as we have listened to fans and are in the process of making newly improved movie accurate socks. Here is a new photo of the eye of The Joker to help the wait. Stay tuned!"

That's the same thing with Big Chap, though. They didn't give us a pre-production figure, or a figure based on Giger's art. They just did their own thing. Making choices to do whatever they wanted instead of giving us screen accuracy was the case there, with Predators, and with Joker socks.

:lecture QFT. So much so that I'm considering dressing a nude TT with just KingGrayskull's screen accurate socks. Anytime I cast my gaze over that figure I'll be thinking, "yep, that's Joker right there". No need for scene-specific costumes either, the socks will do the lot. If HT get the socks right this time round I can see them being parted out for a pretty penny.
