ahem... i'm still waiting for the x-men trilogy figs teased about 3 years ago

oh but I need some time off from that emotion. time to pick my heart up off the floor. and when that teaser comes down without devotion well it takes a strong man baby, but I'm showing ht the door...

Couldn't agree with you more! I'm in the same boat waiting for the light cycle. I feel like there aren't that many of us to be honest.

Now that's a massive delay!

yea i don't think many of us are left. I'd say there was about as much as there are of Sully from the beginning but noe after all the delays, many ppl have canceled at least on this forum. not sure about worldwide...anyone know HT CS email? i've been meaning to see if I could get an email out to them about the lightcycle

Still waiting on the 2.0 Cannibal Jack as well, now longer then the Joker's wait. And Angelica (for those who care) is even longer than that.

What is the record holder? Sulley?

Wasn't Reeve the record holder... seemed like it took well over a year from the announcement to seeing the figure and then another wait until he arrived. Indy was pretty bad as well, but I still think Reeve might have been longer.

Chances of rooted hair on this one increased with BW reveal? I still want sculpted...

That's a good point... seems like a good time for them to use rooted hair and up the game on Joker.

I'm actually expecting rooted hair on this one, the Int Room Joker kinda calls for it. I don't know how they'd do it though, it would have to be the correct "dirty" green which may require painting or treating a base color which is hard to do with polys. We'll see...

If they can do rooted hair well that would be my preferance. Sculpted long hair looks like a helmet IMO.

Pjam did predict this possibility. It is a logical 'next step' like real shoes or PERS. But I wish they'd use that rabbit fur rather than the plastic Barbie straw hair.

Hope rooted hair isn't like the Keaton cape -- once you open the PERS compartment, you have to re-do the hair every time.

Anyway, the hair on BW looks good. In the pics. Would have to see it in person.

Anyone here get that old BW doll? How's the hair on it? From what I've herad, the Sarah Connor with real hair was a disaster to work with.

I didn't even try to do anything with Sarah Connor's hair, its acceptable out of the box to me. Too clean and straight for the latter scenes of the film but for now I've left it as is.

....

exaclty why don't want rooted hair on this one. getting to PERS and having to fix the hair all the time would just be a pain in the ass, not to mention the fact that it wil probably come right out of the box looking bad.

for someone that uses PERS a lot when it's there, rooted hair would just be a disaster for me. I'm not one to just pose my figures once and leave them alone forever like some do :(

Unless they find a way to implement the pers without using a panel on the back of the head...

only other way would be from under the head/neck like the DX02, but that would require taking the neck plug off everytime

Doesn't need to be 100% rooted. They could do what Adam does and combine both sculpted and rooted :dunno

This would make it easier for the PERS also I would imagine

true.. guess it just depends on how far they want to go with this figure. we'll just have to await and see.

I'll most likeley get it either way since I don't have my DX01 anymore.

Can't imagine they would go half and half... and match it well enough to satisfy this crowd.

BUT, maybe with two heads, one will be rooted and one will be sculpted. Covers their ass.

Can't see them pulling that off convincingly.

I'd love to see them attempt rooted hair but somehow just don't think we'll see it.

Will not happen. His hair is too difficult to root on a massed produced figure.

The 1st BW looked great until the produced figure came out. Then everyone had issues styling the hair.

Doll hair is plastic and therefore straight - The BW said it has styling product in it already on the care sheet.

There is no way traditional rooted hair as seen on all other rooted HT figs would work with this.

I will be STUNNED if they have developed a new way of doing this but I personally think it's impossible.

The curled bits on the tips of BW were done by hand. The way the Joker's hair is - every small bunch of strands would need to be curled to look right. Then there is the scalp issue The way hair is rooted he would look like he has corn-rolls.

DO NOT WANT. :lol

Plus, it is just lame in general.
