It doesn't have to be rooted hair for that reason. You don't see rooted hair on the dx10, just a new head sculpt. It'll be the same case here. They're not worrying about how they're going to sell this thing, they know it's going to sell like crazy.

It Will sell more if it is rooted, i am pretty sure about that.

Really how do you know this ? Alot of people hate rooted hair but done right it can be awesome doubt hot toys will do it right.

I am so glad I don't care whether hair is rooted or not. Whatever achieves a good likeness I'm happy with.

Ha ha, rooted. In Aussie vernacular it means f **ked.

Rooted or not rooted it will sell. If rooted and done well the ones with earlier versions will want it to have something different to add to their collection. Those without a Joker will want it for the obvious reason of not having one. If rooted and it looks like chit it will still sell because it is The Joker. Maybe not as fast and for higher secondary values though.

Personally I vote for not rooted. Gotta admit when I got back into collecting a few months ago I was not a fan of sculpted hair. But now I have come to appreciate and really like the looks of a well sculpted hairdo.

If Black Widow sells with rooted hair like she will. Then Joker will sell with rooted hair. People complaining about rooted hair is but a small percentage of HT overall world wide base.

Im sure there will be people that dont buy it due to it having rooted hair, but for every one of those that dont buy it, theres probably 10 others that would take his or her place.

Again people think that the only people that buy HT are people that visit this board. Not so.

Id prefer sculpted hair. But for the interrogation scene it would almost look better with real hair.

If they can make it to not be a futzing nightmare then I have no problem with it. Like the HT Baby Doll's hair is a futzing nightmare.

But Widow's looks to not be a problem. It looks very much like a Marilyn Monroe Barbie's hair that I bought for my wife a few weeks ago. And Im very impressed with the way the hair is rooted, yet stylized/glued into style so its not moving around all over the place.

If they can do that with Joker then that will be absolutely awesome. :yess:

The hair is a big talking point about this figure. Every few pages theres a new set of people voting on it, rooted or sculpted.

HT are innovators. If they can accomplish a sculpt with rooted hair that is not going to diminish the sculpt, I say "go for it." If they can't, then sculpted all the way.

Yep, it's new app which may raise the bar for figs in general IF DONE CORRECTLY.

The only way I see this one with rooted hair is if HT had the balls to use rabbit fur instead of doll poly. Doll poly, like BW, would have to be a forest green type color and it would be super shiny so it wouldn't work here. They may have even tested it already and know it would suck.

I've had a few figs done with rabbit fur (Aliens Bishop) and it really can work great. They would have to root each hair individually though, then use styling gel to shape it, so it would be a bee-otch to do by hand.

Here's my old Bishop with rabbit fur hair...
