Hmm, lokks like I'll have to remedy that. Someone said they took the PERS stuff out and went over the guyliner with non-acetone nail polish and a toothpick. Said it came right off. I think I 'll try that first.

From the few repaints that have been posted here, painting over or removing the guyliner does help a lot.

Good luck!

UPS just dropped off Indy and I must say ( surprisingly) that I like him much more than I thought I would. And,yeah, I gotta go with the old cliche, he is better in hand. With close inspection I can see that he does have the guyliner BUT just looking at him from natural view on the shelf it's not noticeable. Love tha packaging. This and Sparrow are the best DX boxes, all the rest seem pretty boring. The accessories are impressive. I love the three layers of foam. I see what everyone is saying about the muscle body. In a lot of pics I've seen I couldn't tell what the problem was and actually liked the muscle on him but in hands it's immediate apparent that the jacket is a tight fit and the arms lack articulation. How does the SS jacket fit on the muscle? I wanted to pick one up and weather it. I think I like that one slightly more than this one, after weathered. Love the outfit. The shirt, pants and shoes are fantastic imo. I know they're the wrong color and this and that but I'm not a stickler for 150% accuracy. It's not like the pants are blue or something. The shoes are my favorite part of the outfit. The gun holster looks better in hand but I think I'm going to replace it. Not crazy about it. Although I must say mine appears to be more brown than others I've seen. Some are a really deep brown and could be confused for black if your at the right distance. I'm pretty happy with all the accessories. I love the side bag. That may be my favorite as far as accessories go. The freakin' gloved hands are huge! Especially the the fist and other curled gloved hand. Don't know if I'll be using them much anyhow. Overall, I'm surprising pleased. There is no doubt the likeness sucks but I'm happy with what I paid and think if it was priced lower people would have been more forgiving....what am I talking about?! This is Sideshow Freaks, it would have been torn apart anyhow. :lol I'll be doing the guyliner mod and maybe touching up the beard a bit if I figure out this painting thing. I have my order in for the WGP traditional head and have a painter lined up so I think once I get that this figure will be that much more cooler for me. Nice figure.

Congrats! And welcome to Club Obi-Wan.

I think so. Looks good so far.

On the HT sculpt, I'm actually more disappointed about the small size than the guyliner or lack or resemblance. I "scratched" off my guyliner and heated/reshaped the head a bit... but it just looks small on the body. The WGP sculpt seems better scale and could make a huge difference.

Nice to see a fresh set of eyes reacting to HT Indy! Opening that fancy box stuffed with weathered goodness sounds like a real buzz.

Why does he look amazing right here? I mean aside from the fantastic posing the sculpt looks good here and quite different from the others. Yeah I know lighting and the such but still...

Thanks for re-posting that--here's my lazy stock version (quick shot from my iPhone--didn't have time to look for his hands!)...

Really? Are you not big on likeness on figures? As far as the size of the head, I've actually gotten used to HT's small heads so it's expected and I don't notice as much as I used to unless it's smaller than usual or something.
I'll be picking up the WGP head I think. Hopefully everything is going good at the casters.

Yeah , man. I like this figure. I've been playing with him since I've had him. And,yeah, it's a buzz getting a new figure. Especially for a character you love so much adn has all these kick *** accessories. I mean, I suffer no delusion over the likeness although I will say that it is also a bit of an enigma. One second you're all " Ah, there you are...." and at other times you're " Man, this doesn't look anything like Ford..." :lol He's in there somewhere buried deep. Likeness aside though it's an all around fun figure with lots of cool stuff. There's a ton of displaying options for this bad boy too.

You really hit the nail on the head there. I think a lot of that also has to do with positioning of the PERS. I know when ever I am repositioning his eyes (yeah, I can't stop messing with this figure and have had him since he was first released) I get that same feeling, like...."Oh, there's Harrison..." then, "Oops, where'd he go?"

Anyway, glad to hear you like him...he really is a great overall figure. Not 100%, but pretty damned nice!

I'm also getting the WGP head, but I think I will use it to upgrade my custom Indy instead of replacing the HT head. My first ever custom figure was Indy using the Relic Hunter costume and Lonnie Hale head...it's well overdue for an upgrade.

Its funny, I came in the door the other and caught my wife staring at the figure. I walk up along side her and she doesn't move just continues to stare. While still looking at him she says " So odd....its like it has Fords features....its just the sum of all the parts that dont make Ford..weird." :lol

I know everyone says the Ezio body is the best to use for this guy but how about the Sparrow DX body. It was a sculpted neck and smaller build. Don't know if the shoulders are narrow though. Complextion looks a bit different too. Any input?
