I agree that the Medi Indy was a failed attempt but the accessories are great in HT Indy's hands. Except for the fertility idol. Painted gold instead of plated like the HT version. I still need a diamond and the cross and thrn ill be happy. I have the Medi and was able to reuse some of the clothing as well. The head is very Hasbro-ish.

I wondered what medi senior looks like next to HT Indy. Thanks for posting the pics when you can.

I apologize for the quality the pics I posted on this page and the previous page...they were taken with my HTC Thunderbolt camera phone...My Indy is straight out of the box...except of course for the Sovereign Jacket and the Mfisher holster, belt, bag, and whip. What do you guys think?

The quality of your custom gear sort of drowns out the fact that the sculpt is still terrible IMO. Overall it's a nice Indy, but it has everything to do with the upgraded gear IMO. I will always and forever despise the HT Indy sculpt, and the fact that they felt it was good enough to release.

Same can be said for the HT headsculpt.

I think a lot of people just subconsciously repeat "but it's HT... but it's HT... but it's HT..." rather than looking at what they have in-hand.

Using the HT Sparrow as a near 10/10, what do you give the Indy? A 9? An 8? Look at the reams of discussion about it - my guess is that the consensus is a bit lower than that on the HT scale.



People - and I mean a lot of people - shouldn't have to take a scalpel to their $250 figure to remove guyliner either.

After the Joker (a focus of obsessive interest) Indy has to be one of the most customized HT head sculpts. That says something, doesn't it?

To say that it is "there right out of the box" is not really true for quite a few people at least. We saw many people - who appeared to be casual collectors not seen in these threads much - asking how to do the guy liner thing.



Yep, it's all a matter of opinion and quality of eyesight. (I say that only because you are DUMPING again...)

Some people drop the $250, and it renders their eyesight not 100% impartial.

Like I said, To each their own. You go ahead and enjoy that SSC Indy. Ill enjoy my HT.

You go ahead and enjoy that HT Indy. Me, I'll continue to wonder "What we could have got" versus what we did get from Hot Toys.

Could you imagine if they had nailed it like Jack Sparrow? Like a creepy-real shrunken down HF? Maybe they will on the TOD version.

And we're talking Kia and Hyundai here. There are no BMW's with Indy's face on them. Sparrow, Joker, etc. - those are BMW's.

Decent products both, the HT definitely way better out of the box than the SSC, but there is a gold class above that neither of them touches.

That may change with a HT TOD Indy, but maybe not.

That would be most awesome. The WGP smiling Indy one looks promising (at $75 pre-paint...), but you never know until it's painted up - especially with extreme expressions.

HT just can't seem to not reissue figs. They really love their "2.0" and Indy has no costume change for TOD but a torn shirt. Even the outfit is already tailored to a muscle body. The TOD look is the "other" iconic look for Indy, so I'd be surprised if HT didn't do it.

I've held it in hand, I wanted it so desperately to not be what the pics were, I tried to justify the purchase, but I could, maybe, if I squinted, see Indys brother in the sculpt. Not good enough.

For what it's worth, I've got all three versions; HT, SS, and Medicom. They all have their pros and cons (yes, even the Medi has it' s pros). I have to say, for my money, straight out of the box, the HT is my favorite. Not perfect, just the overall best of the three IMO.

To each his own, and I know a lot of people feel the way you do about the HT sculpt. Personally I see tons of HF in both my pics on pages 525-526 and in hand. Is it a perfect HF sculpt? No, but I see enough Indy to keep him on my shelf. I dunno, maybe my eyesight is bad

Very nice display. Where did you get the grail in indy's hand? And very cool 1-1 relics. Nice touch. I think we have a true Indy fan on our hands.

It looks like the one DR. Jones SR came with, along with the grail diary and the large stone tomb cover.
