Ummm I think those on your side of the argument have done more than their fair share of "dumping" on the HT figure...let's try to keep it honest.
And I never said that the HT was perfect by any means...and I've dropped plenty of money on figures that weren't that great and remained impartial - I just choose to sell those figures. To make a statement like that is a bit condescending. Especially when from my side it appears that those of you on the other side have the same blind partiality regarding the SS sculpt.
You guys with your "sides." "Us HT guys... and you others." Dude... SSC, HT, Medi - who cares? And partiality? I just want an accurate Indy sculpt!
Do you ever stop to think how these flare ups start, and why criticism of the HT sculpt (not DUMPING - there is a difference!) has to be made in such situations?
And how does it start?
I think the SS sculpt looks bloated and waxy. HT kills it even with the repainted it still sucks.
Yeah I'm one of the few on here who can't stand the SS sculpt...
hell if theres a bandwagon i am on it......think the SS head is a whole lot of self delusion and back slapping but hey if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.... no harm
Hmm. Fun, isn't it? Until it's all put under the microscope and then the "well, the HT isn't perfect" and "I never said..." starts rolling in.
As Indy fans, we have little in terms of an accurate Indy headsculpt - and unfortunately, that includes both the SSC and HT releases. The HT release should have been - well, a HT release, a bullseye - and it disappointed, big time. "Best out of the box" is MILES from "OMG - stunning." That's what Jack Sparrow fans got. That's what Batman fans got. Etc.
It's when people wander in with their lazy comments about the SSC that I open the 24oz can of whup-*ss to remind them of the true - and pretty sad - state of affairs for Indy collectors.
And if that's condescending to you, then don't start making - and supporting - condescending remarks about a SSF contributor's work. And remember now - criticism and DUMPING are related, but very different.
We done yet?
