Perhaps the discussion of Sideshow and customizing the sideshow figure should be left in the sideshow thread or the customizing Sideshow thread. This thread should only be about the hot toys figure those who are happy with it. Back to hot toys Indy anyone?

You could build a clubhouse, plan activities, and of course write questions for any prospective new members.

And it would be the only thread in Freaks like it.:monkey3

It'll be tomorrow, but I can tell you now that Medicom's 1/6 scale is a lot smaller then other Toy Companies 1/6 scale.

:horror:horror:horror

We don't talk about that.

Like sw's example, you post an unflattering SSC pic with one of the most flattering HT angles around. Here's a more apples to apples comparison of the stock HT with an SSC repaint (my pics)--same lighting, same bodies, same camera:

I can respect that some like the HT version better, but the SSC sculpt is very good when treated the way it should have been by SSC's painters. Grove knows Indy.

You could actually have something constructive to say for once instead of being a negative nancy on every thread you visit while acting like a condescending prick and this entire site would be a much happier place to visit. Maybe I'm asking too much.

If we are discussing sideshow next to HT why can't we discuss medicom as well? Are you the post police?

I didn't know that pic was one of the most flattering angles around...that's my pic. Its the first pic I took of him when I pulled him out of the box. :dunno

I think what's going to happen is if Hot Toys ever makes another Indiana Jones it's going to be just like what's going on with the MMS T2 T-800 Arnold and the new DX10 T2 T-800 Arnold. Even if the DX looks like a young Arnold, it looks more like him then anything HT has done so far.

I think the next Harrison Ford head sculpt they do will be spot on, and eveyone will be able to pick up the head and change whatever it is they don't like on the current Indiana DX.

If you recall, that was one of the first pics where the headsculpt looked decent in in-hand pics. Up to that point, people were a little stunned by how it was looking - it's a sculpt that is really hard to make look good in pics for some reason, and looks much better in hand. "3D" if you will.

He always comes out looking slightly Iranian or Spanish in pics for some reason (even in yours, but only slightly) but that's not really apparent in-hand like the guy liner issue.

The 30th Anniversary of TOD is coming up in 18 months... :yess:

It's going to be like everyone who has made their own T1 T-800 Police Shoot Out or (from the MMS version) a T2 T-800 Cyberdine Shoot out that bought all those MOO Models parts and weapons. (It’s why I have so many {6} T-800 now.)

Everyone who bought a second Indy and cut his shirt all up, are going to see a TOD version with exactly that (cut up shirt, with no sleeve) and they'll either pass on it because they've made their own or they'll buy it anyway.

That’s what I try never to buy two of any Hot Toys release anymore, because sooner or later HT is going to do a 2.0 or a different version of a character and I don’t want to have a second figure that I will feel I need to sell, and take a loose on. Thank goodness I only have one HT Indy.

I apologize for the quality the pics I posted on this page and the previous page...they were taken with my HTC Thunderbolt camera phone...My Indy is straight out of the box...except of course for the Sovereign Jacket and the Mfisher holster, belt, bag, and whip. What do you guys think?
