Believe if or not, my GF had seen me looking at this figure a while back and talking about it in terms of likeness and such. Told her its one of those you need to see in-hand to pass judgement on. Well, low and behold DX05 was on my doorstep yesterday. She surprised me with it and said, "Ok, judge for yourself." Beyond looking a bit too tan, I can see Harrison Ford and am happy to finally have Indy to display at home.

Anyone saying this sculpt is bad is braindead. Wish I had the funds for one. It does need a repaint though. Wasn't there a very early repaint that already showed this?

If someone wants to sell theirs for cheap because of the bad sculpt I'd be all up for one. :monkey3

I bought two cause I liked it so much. I do t usually buy two of anything but this I wanted to be able to display both outfits. Anyone who bought this probably won't be selling just the head even if they can't admit it looks great.

Well chuck me on the braindead pile - It is pretty poor. It's probably the worst sculpt in the DX line. I own it so I'm not being biased. It's not "OMG this thing sucks" bad, but it's not "holy crap I've got Harrison Ford in my hand" good either. It's just an average sculpt.

You only need to look at the storm it caused on release.

Personally, the thing holding me back from buying one is the fact that I know I would want to send the head out to someone to repaint it and do a PERS fix. Just my $0.02.

:exactly: HS is very strange... some angles it looks great & other angles, well, not so much. :lol but it's the best Indy to date. That's cool your girl got it for you. Also, everytime I see your posts I think of Travolta wearing the Santa Cruz Banana Slugs UCSC shirt. Tarantino use to hang here in my hometown and pays tribute now & then. :yess:

The funny thing is, my gf kept telling me how she doesn't care that I collect, but would NEVER support my hobby by purchasing any figures for me. Boy did she set me up good....

I know exactly where that campus is as I live in Nor Cal too. Have family that went to UCSC, which reminds me, I have to take my daughter to the boardwalk this year; she's never been.

Cool, she is gonna love it. :hi5:

And gourmet coffee. He he. Congrats jimmi. This is one figure I always go back to. I collect a couple different things. Star Wars, marvel, DC but this one always seems to stand out the most for me.
