HT making Symbiote Spider-Man

I'm not really liking the Sandman base either. I'd prefer to just have the normal HT stand or put him in the display case without one.

Was beginning to think I was the only one.

I don't believe this is a sculpted head, but just one where the fabric is tucked and glued underneath the head so it is a separate piece. if you look at his chin you can see a fabric fold. The small point at the tip of his chin.

It probably will come with the regular stand anyway, you could always sell off the sandman base if you wanted, some peeps might want it for the regular spidey.

I like the base. I think it's a brilliant idea to make sandman a base but it should have been for the original spidey not this one.

The bases should have been swapped. But yes you could totally sell it and recoup some funds. Especially from people who won't pick this up and would just like the stand.

Well I think its great that the 2 Spideys have perfectly swappable bases. Symbiote can have a nice emo zomg the powah! pose on the uilding ledge while regualr Spidey can fight off the guy from Wings.

Gotta disagree...makes more sense for HOT TOYS to do this. More motivation to buy Symbiote for the people on the fence. Therefore, making Hot Toys more money money money money. Whats better for collectors (in some people's opinions) is rarely better for the business.

I think he meant what you're saying. It makes sense for them to give black Spidey the Sandman base and regular Spidey the building base so you're more inclined to buy both.

I agree. I would have bought Regular Spidey no matter what the base.

I wasn't interested in this one but now it comes with this base i'm considering getting it. Not high on my list like Loki, Skull and USO Cap but it's got my interest now.

Yes I agree but he didnt fight a huge sandman til after venom was spawned. Movie continuity aside I still like the base and will buy this figure cause I've been waiting for it. I just hope they still make a human sized sand man so him and Symbiote spidey can do battle.

The base is cool but not something i want to pay more for, which will likely be the case.

I can't see this being $149.99 like the original

For those that think Spidey is standing on Sandman's hand, he's not. He's being held up by a clear acrylic pole just like the Iron Man Mk VI and Supes bases. You can see the clasp around Spidey and the pole going down behind Sandman. I do personally like the base, I think it's a cool idea. And yes, for those that don't like it, he will most definitely come with the standard stand too, just like every HT figure does.

And the mask better be cloth on this guy or I'm out.

That base looks really cool. I'll probably end up putting the regular red and blue Spider-man on it tho with New Goblin next to it for that "Final Battle" look on my shelf. Now all we need is Venom....

The base could easily be displayed on its own as a 1/6 scale item. Hopefully, the price for this won't be much higher than the original Spiderman.

it might be 1/6 scale but its also only about 1/6 of the character lol might look weird as a stand alone piece
