Thankfully for building this sucker, the shin and forearm units look to be like Wolf and just sculpted rather than putting armor onto the body, which is also good for the appearance, P2 would probably look a lot better if it weren't bulky armor over and already bulky body.

I know, especially having made a BD P2, most people would be kinda bleh about about another P2 figure, but with this new body proportion and all, I'd love to see a new and improved P2, I like the look of that Predator too and I think a new one of this calibur would rock and be worth buying the P2 again.

That would ROCK. Maybe they could make it the Gort Predator though, that one was identical to P2 save for the mask. Then it could come with an alternate P2 head and helmet, or you could use the old one on it.

So what's different? Wolf had 22 points of articulation by the way.

Perhaps this Predator has the 2 jointed neck instead of the sculpted neck, that would add a point.

It says specifically "newly developed body chest, arms" though, nothing about resculpted legs. I don't really see anything different about the chest or arms!?

Hot Toys is good for spinning words sometimes. I think with the chest, they're referring to the Predator's overall figure where like the P2 had a huge upper body, this one is in line with the waist and doesn't make him look like He-Man and as for the arms, I believe the gauntlets are sculpted pieces not attachments over the arms, so in a way, they ware new sculpts since no other figure's had them. It could be that the arms are an all new design and not just some other Pred's upper arms rehashed too, but it's hard to say, like I said, sometimes their words are strange and something "new" isn't quite new in the sense most of us would think.

Nope, the 3 lights on the bio are the only things identified as light up, and based on photos the graphics on the gauntlet look like paint only, no glow to them.

Well they really shouldn't, Wolf's are much more slender than other Predators. If anything, they'll be recycled from P2 Elder, P2, or the AVP Preds. They may be all new, hard to say without seeing them side by side with another Predator for comparison.

In the end, it doesn't really matter what is different about this one, overall it looks fantastic and more true to source than any of the previous Predators and should rock.

It looks like I'll be buying the Predator, Dutch and Billy this coming year! Wow, they all look great. The Predator looks incredible! I am hoping the Predator from the first movie will be my first Hot Toys Predator. I don't have any of the other ones...yet. My only gripe with the Billy figure is that he didn't have blonde hair! Actor Sonny Landham clearly had black hair then. I will repaint his haire for sure after I get him.

It's a tactic Hot Toys has to use Mike, Billy needs to be painted totally off from the film appearance to release him, like the ALIENS figures.

Understood. I had to repaint my Ripley, Drake and Vasquez, and get a custom head from Lonnie Hale for my Apone. I got a nice Les Walker Hudson head sculpt, and will be getting his awesome "spikey-haired" Hics soon. I know it's the whole "likeness" rights issue thing that some actors won't grant their likenesses to be used. Which is sad I think. Because I want my 1:6 scale figures to look as much as the actors as they can be. That's just my preference.

Ya, even Arnie's wasn't originally going to be acquired, or at least HT was waiting to hear back regarding it with their early prototype as the face was all obscured in paint in the early leaked images.
