Well, that is a valid curiousity too, if the height difference is off, who's not right. My money would actually go towards Dutch, given their issues with humans in the past.

Its just the angle of the picture guys, I would guess Dutch will measure at a clear 12" whereas the Predator will surpass 14"

Well, you never know, Hot Toys has some issues with heights on it's human figures. Their Drago's proportions to other figures was a bit overdone.
Are the issues with Billy primarily over the figure not having the likeness or is the problem with the character choice? If its the latter I don't understand why - he was no less prominent than Blaine, Mac or Dillon - therefore just as obvious a choice to be made into a figure IMO. Just a pity sonny landham, like john bloody hurt, is obviously a bit of a fusspot.

I think a little of both. I think people understand the paint issue, because HT has done that in the past to avoid likeness issues. So that's understandable. But I disagree that Billy was "no less prominent than Blaine, Mac or Dillion". He was. I guarantee if HT had put out P1, Dutch and any one of those other characters you listed people would be more exicted. Imagine a Dillion with double HK's and an Exclusive with a ripped off arm still clutching one of those HK's. Or a Blaine figure with a big ass mini-gun. Or a Mac figure with a 1/6 scale bloody razor, lol. People would be ordering those with no question. So imo it's more so the choice, then the paint aps.
Billy Sole is only better than Poncho or Hawkins.

Some folks either don't know of the off paint app trick of HT with likenesses or despite knowing don't care.
Some folks probably feel he's not the best character choice to be the second human in the line, which I can agree with, I'd say based on film action, Dillon and Mac are the 2nd tier characters with Billy, Blane, Ponch, Hawkins and Anna making up the 3rd tier.
The third issue with Billy comes from HT's tendancy to not complete lines. There's a strong possibility Dutch and Billy may be it for humans, so some folks are probably going to be bummed because they'd rather that slot have gone to someone else. If the whole team being made were guaranteed, I'm sure a lot of opinions would be different about Billy, but we don't have that and we have history that suggests preparing for dissappointment in the "line", so it's creating a negative buzz.

Well look at it this way, with all the "fuss" surrounding Sonny Landham (Billy) and likeness issues in the past why would HT's choose to make this character? The only reason I see is that making anyone else may not be an option so maybe Billy was their only "other than Dutch" option?
It just doesn't make any sense, they make a character from the film that looks nothing like him because of likeness issues. I don't think we will see much more than what we've already seen.

That's what puzzles me, if they don't have likeness rights to Billy, and perhaps no one from this film, why start with Billy if he could possibly be all you do. I'd say the coolest character stripped down to just gear would be Blane with the mini gun, no one else really has any gear or whatever that stands out from each other.
I wish HT didn't have business practices that condition me to expect incomplete lines, but they have, so until confirmation comes, I really don't expect anyone else from the team, just Dutch and Predator variants at the most. As much as even TDK is a complete line because there's 5 figures and 2 vehicles, as far as representing the film, it's weak without other characters, even if they're not huge, but they're not going to happen.
Thanks for the update, and going by the reliability of Toys2 dates, I'd say April looks like a safe bet for these guys.

For what ever reason it looks like Eric (Toys2) has only 60 of each up for preorder. I typed in 100 quantity for both Dutch and Billy, Dutch has 57 and Billy 58 left.
IF he had the normal 100 available of each that means 42 Billy's have already sold and we all know that is impossible.
So 57 Dutch's and 58 Billy's left at Toys2.

Why release all 3 images but preorder only Dutch and Billy? I want to order Predator and Dutch together but it looks like the release date will be a month after Dutch and Billy. No liking that too much.

I'm nitpicking here, because overall these look great.
But, Billy and Dutch's assault rifles should be a M16A1s. Dutch's with an M203 and Billy's M16A1 Masterkey (Mossberg 500). The pictures of Hot Toys' figures show both Dutch and Billy using M16A2s which have detachable carrying handles. Anyway. I'm sure I'll be able to find some appropriate weapon replacements in the meantime.
Damn, Hot Toys. I'm already getting Bank Robber Joker (which may ship from BBTS someday) and sadly, had to cancel all three Iron Man figures, and now Dutch, Billy and now, finally the original Predator. I need to save up!
