You know i'm a bit dissapointed in the Predator for the following reasons:

- His right back 12th dred lock is 2 mm too short compared to the rest.
- His right hand has 151 black dots ans should have 149
- His left big toe nail is the wrong colour.
- His belt has a scratch on it.
- The skin way deep in his mouth is the wrong colour pink.
- I don't know if you guys can tell but his right back heel also has a little scratch too.

Well unfortunetly this is an easy pass for me, HT's really messed things up here.

Excellent ANALysis my good man. :D

Not to mention in the Pred leg webbing, one of the cross-hatches is at least 2 degress off angle. :lol

What are the chances of the final production models being as well painted as the pics posted already?

What happened in the past with Predator 2? Serious question - I don't know but maybe past history may tell us of things to come about pre-production pics and actual production paintwork.

Cheers,

And finally the last 3...

The End:rotfl

Back with the P2, the proto was quite reddish and the production more a maroon/brown. Overall, the quality from the protos should translate into production, HT's been quite good at that.

As an example, here's HT's P1 bust images and one of mine of the production piece.

The only big change in production paint was the transition of black to a reddish tint was lost, otherwise turned out just as well, and so far I find the 1/4 busts to get less paint app quality than 1/6 counterparts so we should be in good shape.

I know there are other issues with arnold's likeness, but he looks enough like arnold to get. With these new pics, however, I know what's been bugging me; arnold looks older. I'll still get it, but he looks aged.

Thanks for that! That certainly put my fear to rest.:joy

Let's hope the world economy and humanity hold out until May 2009 (and a little after that so we can enjoy bogging at the P1):google.

Any chances of an early release? Has this ever happened in the past? May 2009 seems so FAR away!

FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR away!

Arnold was exactly 40 years old in The Predator, how old should he have looked?

Was he?! Wow, I didn't know that. (Not sarcasm by the way)

From the initial single pic we were teased with, I did not see a great likeness, but after seeing these shots, it is simply stunning.

saying he was forty says nothing. I'm saying he looks older in the sculpt than what he did in the movie. Not in all the images, but in some you see more wrinkles. With that said it could also be the camera lens picking up detail that may not be visable with the naked eye.

You know what I think it is? He was continuously greased up and tanned in that film so it could have given off a cleaner younger looking appearance.

Hot Toys tried to get the "tanned" look with their Rambo II figs and it didn't turn out too well.

oh and before anyone gets bent out of shape. this isn't or wasn't meant as a, "I ain't getting this 'cause this isn't accurate." Some of you are way too sensitive when people express their opinions which aren't meant to start anything.

Stunning isn't it. When I first realized how old Stallone was when he did Rambo and Pacino doing Scarface, I was blown away.

Yeh, just incredible. I never would have believed that!

Oh and don't leave me hanging, I don't know the Rambo, Scarface ages either? :monkey5

How about this one? DeNiro in Goodfellas was 50, go watch it and tell me he looks a day older than 33-35.

It is remarkable. Stallone and Arnie sure show their age today, but it's just weird. I came to establish what a 40 year old looks like by my parents and to know these guys were 40 in roles where I'd easily peg them for low 30 is just baffling. I'm still amazed how many music groups I follow were already in mid 30s when they first broke out in the world. Granted that's still young, but it just seems like by that age you'd be well on your way with things, not just starting to peak. Most athletes look at retiring around 40.
