Great job! I like it's shape and that it fits perfect and deep on his face. And the paint job is awesome too (meanwhile, still needed to place two authentic star-shaped burns on it). I LIKE IT!

BUT there is one thing up to do, imho, maybe it will push you to make P1_Mask_v2.0.
The eyes, bro, he had to have some "sad eyes" to look like it was shown in the movie. His eyes is still not good looking. Would be cool to work on them.
Hey is it possible to make it reflective like in the film? The eyes are glossy and better than before but reflective like in these photos would be AWESOME!

Ok?As I can see on photos, you've already elongated his cheeks and make it round, right?
Also, I don't think that it's possible to make eyes mirror-like, like in the movie, having solid masks and using only painting job. Needed to place some sort of pellicle inside it, but I'm not sure that it's possible.
OR we need to have disassembled eyes, like on the HT mask, paint the visor into chrome (maybe, with some auto paint) and that put some black pellicle on it or paint it with black\gloss varnish mix from the air brush.
For MAX gloss I can recommend to use Games Workshop gloss varnish, most shiny varnish I've ever seed.

That does look pretty glossy. Close enough I guess. Can't do the impossible. Hmm...maybe put a clear piece of plastic or tape over it, then paint it? Or just simply paint it and get a glossy clear piece of tape over it! Ooooohhh.

Well, I think that even great gloss can be seen only in the life-motion around the item. Here is my little HT mask mod. As you can see I kept the netting under the eyes, but polished them by art.-water and covered with black paint mixed with water. Many gloss GamesWorkshop varnish putted after all.
And here is my preciousss! I'll make the full video review on my P1_mods when it will be sunny here. It's quite noir-style in Moscow now <_< sн**ty spring. But you still can see many Pred-videos here including P1 modding in progress.

One more question - did you have to do anything to have his waist connect to the extended area now that it is raised? Was the waist still able to connect to the hip joint?

i had to cut the spring by half ...to exert adequate pressure on the new distance between abdomen and hip...
