Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Wookster can only really help if HT puts out official word, and given the climate already brewing in here, I'd say they won't put out official word if they have done this, they'll probably try to sneak one by and not realize how easy it is to find ^^^^ out with the internet, you can't sneak anything anymore.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Maulfan is right. 150% actual proof(a statement from on H.T website will do). Now if true, my feelings towards Hot Toys will be divided. On one side, to have a Company listen to their consumers and fix issues pre-production(like we all seen) and Post-Production for anything they have miss to give us a more perfect rendition of the character is great. I have not heard any company to have done that. Sideshow have done "minor" changes in the past but most of the time what we see in pre-production is what we get in the end or even worse. On the other hand If Hot Toys is taking that step to listen to fans on a major figure line, then at least they should get consumer approval(at least the majority) before finalizing it for production, therefore we know exactly what we are getting and we'll be happy and so will H.T. and the need to come out with another "better" version of a figure a.k.a B.R. Joker will not be needed. Spending $150.00 average a figure is quite expensive and takes a toll on one when we here a better version than what you brought is coming out later because "someone" F'd up the 1st vers. Perfect example is the 1st Joker. I felt like I spent $150.00 for the the cloths/outfit than for a figure now that I saw the new one coming out. I am completely statisfied with the D.K vers. Batman as is and I hope they don't do this to us.

Well I sure hope Beer Belly / Hockey Goalie Batman is not what we get and others better.

I think it is one thing to make changes pre-production it is completely another to change things post production.......

Imagine Hot Toys releasing a better sculpt for the DC Direct batch of ver. 1 Joker.........

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I hope it is, and then I would laugh.

Just as a point--this doesn't seem likely, and it's interesting to hear everyone suddenly saying the figure sucks after having said how perfect it is (sometimes in the same post ;) )

Well they kinda did,why do you think they added 2 heads to BR Joker?

But in that case they are screwing everyone who purchased the ver. 1 Joker and not just the people who bought the 1st batch:lol

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I think the Bank Robber Joker was inevitable but it wouldn't have been all that worthwhile without the good sculpts so I can forgive them for that.

Its not a big deal though, they are not charging more because of the extra head so i have no problem with that, they did the same with Jack Sparrow Cannibal, added an extra head so they would make up for the V1 Sparrow sculpt since it was so horrible.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I don't think the figure sucks as is, I'm happy with it, and without official word/images of what may have been altered, can't say how much it does or doesn't bother me. Even if the visual changes don't make much of a difference to me, if they have indeed fixed it just after the first batch of this run, the principal of not fixing it before any figures go out is what'll frost me no matter what. If they feel it wasn't their best, fine, retool it, release it again with alternate accessories like usual, but months later when there was no chance of getting it in on time for the first go around, but if you fix something a few weeks after the first run and release it a few weeks later, that'd be b.s.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

That is really poor - while I applaud the constant effort to make the most accurate possible figure that takes on board collector criticism, the only good way to make an update after shipping the 1st batch is to offer replacements for anyone who got one of the 1st batch - simply ask people to ship theirs back to HT (at HT cost), and replace the underlying bodies with the slimmer profile.

I haven't got mine yet, got it from goodshipped on ebay and he says he now expects it in early Nov. So hopefully the one I get is from the updated batch...

Yes it isn't a big deal to me either that they are releasing the BR Joker with Ledger likeness headsculpt. It would be a bid deal to me if hypothetically they released the DC Direct batch ver. 1 Joker with Ledger likeness. I'm not complaining about them releasing two versions of Joker.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

i really doubt that they changed the figure even more, they are probably just having minor production issues, it would be a highly bad business decision to spent so much money modding the figure slightly when so many ppl already love it

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

That's the only thing keeping me from buying into this much based on just rumor, it'd be so sketchy, especially without a replacement program for first batch folks, I just can't imagine HT doing it, even as un-collector-friendly as they get sometimes.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

1st pic I've been able to locate. It isn't a perfect comparison though because he already modded his 1st batch Batman.

The 2nd batch is the one on the left.
The modded 1st batch is the one on the right.
He says that you can really tell that the legs are slimmer in hand.

The sculpt is the only huge difference i can see,if it looks slimmer in hand and the "Belly" is gone i will order it because i dont have this figure because i wasnt happy with the final result on the figure.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Still don't believe it is true until official word comes out.....besides the only difference i see is that the one on the left is shorter than the one on the right

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I don't find the legs to be an issue on mine.

In that photo tho, the one on the left almost looks smaller all around, like 10-15% smaller.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Is the suit kinda "Puffy"?Because if it isnt they have probably used the new HT Slimmed body they used for the Michael Jackson figure.
