Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Really? I thought it wasn't till 09. Dang I may just cancel my order for the BR Joker and replace him with Bats and pick up a BR Joker when wave 2 comes out.

Yup, here he is on DCD's site listed for Dec. 10.

You can still pre-order him at a lot of sites, but he's sold out at Urban Collector where I pre-ordered.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Anyone know if HT/DCD may do a third wave of these? I really want a BR Joker but if this is the final wave I may just pick TDK Bats up first and get Joker on the second wave.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Cool. Thanks Dally!

I may still cancel my BR Joker and get a 2nd wave TDK Bats if Joe still has any left since Toys2 is the only place I've seen that mentions a 3rd wave.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

uh, the suits themselves are different, clear as day. regardless of how they sit on their respective bodies, you can see how different they are regardless.

2 wave 1 TDK suits look the same off body, and compared to the wave 2 suit it's pretty obvious it's slimmer.

Well I cannot see the obvious difference at all. I bet if you hadn't been told, you wouldn't have picked up on it either. I disagree that two wave 1's would look the same off body too, because they could still sit different and even then one coiuld appear slimmer when it is not. Agree to disagree.

I must be blind as a bat.

Me too. :D

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Its pretty interesting that when the discussion on the original source from Toy-World had pretty much come to a conclusion of no solid evidence of any mold update (some people that started the rumor apologized for being misleading, Hot Toys denied the mold update on the phone, people work in toy manufacture industry commenting on the chance of changing a master mold for such a slight update after manufacturing began is close to zero, due to cost & efficiency). Yet people still want to keep going with the assumption on the major significant change on the 'wave 2' batch, based on a couple questionable pics.

Just enjoy your figure, and be glad that Hot Toys made us a cool TDK figure.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

lol tbh it seems there really isnt any diffrence or modifications made, just that the belly is pushed out in the packaging, though the rubber suit is could clearly be smaller.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Damn I just broke my bat hand.

BE CAREFUL GUYS!!!

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

howd that happen? looks painful, how are you going to get it replaced?

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Sorry about that. But thanks for giving us the heads up. Hope you can still get it fixed. Probably through the ebay sellers who part out their figures.

BE CAREFUL GUYS!!!

The hard part is to get the joint out. But if you managed to do that, you can replace it easy with some Hot Toys wrist joints of the older generation, usually from figures or bodies released about a year old or older. But the more recent new True Type bodies has a slightly different wrist ball joint, with a smaller peg for connecting the hand. So those are no good for Batman. So look for a spare pair on ebay. There should be a couple HK sellers still have those, and sold them like $6 or so plus shipping. The only issue it has is not black. But you can always paint it if you want to, or just leave it in flesh tone since the ball joint is mostly hidden.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Also a tip for future, use some grease on the peg that connects to the hand (NOT on the peg connects the lower arm) greatly reduce the friction and let the hands slip off much easier. It even let the hands come off without the wrist ball joint coming off with it, as long as your lower arm & wrist peg is still pretty tight. So add some grease (even using your chapstick is good enough) will lessen future breakage.

Hope you managed to get it fixed and get some cheap replacement man. Good luck.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I'd like to see HT take another stab at this figure down the road.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

they probably will if another movie is made like they did with the original suit
