I just want stone cold confirmation of any diffrences body wise what ever...i want it proven..then if it is then i might consider getting a latter wave but atm im happy with wave 1

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I'd bet there is none, and it's just illusions from the refined grey kevlar.

It was proven a couple weeks ago that the 1st wave & 2nd wave TDK bodies are the same. People took pictures of the bare body side by side in the Toy-World thread that started it all. Even that thread died long ago without further discussion after nobody able to point out any real differences. Pretty much its some very subtle things that got exaggerated, when 2 TDK figures of the same batch can look a little different, depends on how the figure is assembled, posed and how the spandex strapes were glued under the armor. Even mine and the one I bought for a friend (same shipment) has some slight difference on the thickness of the rubber suit, with some area thicker on one but not the other. Its more of QC tolerance/difference than actual mold changes.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Hot damn! Looking at these photos makes me think that C.Bale went all out on Velvet Goldmine that he decided to get breast implant, eh?
That chestpiece is way too protruded. The only thing about the Dark Knight Costume that I like and have bought on ebay is the friggin' belt. Now my original costume looks picture perfect with its new belt :D

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Ok, so there is absolutely NO difference between "yours" and "mine" pics. Great now lets move on with our lives.

Apparently its a crime to discuss, I should be burned to the stakes for it!

God some people are so friggin sensitive on here.

Who displays their figures from the side angle? Looks good to me front on.

Who said they were... mine is sitting in between two desks either side of computers and it looks like his is sitting on the kitchen table because those pics were from when he first got it.

You know people can move about with a camera without having to move the fig.

I still don't understand people feeling the need to defend the HT Dark Knight Batman figure. It's bulky. Period.

Look at every single available pic of the TDK suit and you'll see the chest plate is almost flat. Not ginormous like a body builder (i.e. like on the HT figure). Read number 4 in that pic above: "the stretchy rubber lines also help bind the costume to Bales body." The TDK Batman had a slimmer suit. HT made their figure too bulky. Obviously people don't care because they're buying it and like the figure. That doesn't change the fact that it's too bulky. Why can't people just admit that it's too damn bulky but they don't care? I could respect and understand that more than all these people making excuses for HT like they work there or were part of the design team. smh. Same thing happened with the V.1 Joker.. everyone playing captain to defend the V.1 sculpt. It's sad.

And for the people who don't want to "discuss it" anymore.. you might want to log off then because in case you hadn't noticed: this IS a discussion board. :monkey3

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

lol i was only bothered by the remours of the diffrent waves...getting mine today its looks fine, i can make the beer belly appear if i want it too.
tbh the main problem is the loosness of the suit adding the bulky frame.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Well, I think the figure looks great. If it isn't perfect, oh well. It is as close as I have seen for a 1/6th figure of a real person. Medicom's may look better as a prototype, but I don't know what the end result will be with a production figure. Hopefully for the Medi fans and those that can't stand the HT TDK Bats it will turn out good, unlike the bobble headed concentration camp version Indiana Jones figure they just dropped on the 1/6th world.

Hot Toys is KING of 1/6 figures, but even I still have my jaw drop when I see these:

:google Hopefully they look like that after production. If so, Medicom would have the best 1/6 Dark Knight Batman figure to date. On another note, please see Hot Toys for the rest of your figure needs :D

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

That does look really good. Probably the best Medicom figure I've seen. I still like the Hot Toys one but I won't switch for the Medicom version. Plus it's like $50 more and won't be out for a few more months.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

The Medicom figure does look good, but in it's own right the Hot Toy's figure looks just as good. I chose the Hot Toys figure over the Medicom figure because it was a lot cheaper for one and Medicom figures are usually a little under scale. Also I've heard stories of Medicom figures breaking very easily, and I imagine the Hot Toy's figure has better articulation. The earlier release date didn't hurt either. :D From the looks of it fans of Medicom won't be disappointed though.

You are right on all counts. Medicom figures are undersized, and have relatively fragile bodies. A collector like me does not do extreme poses, so it won't bother me. I really only care about how accurate the figure looks, and in that sense medicom wins. Hot Toys is unsurpassed in quality though, and you can see it with their two-face compared to the Medi (which is good, but not really on the same level). The cost of Medicom figures is the one thing I cannot defend, but I guess they can charge what they want as long as people pay it. That said, I do have the Hot Toys one and did not preorder the Medicom one. That's not to say I won't be getting it :D It still looks amazing.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

You seem to get less for your moneys worth... just a gun and two batarangs? No Bruce head? no extra hands...?

The belt looks great but the colour is way off!

ActionHQ has it down for March 27.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

To me the red buttons on the side of the little pockets on the belt look wrong, and the eyes look a bit too blue in that pic above. But it seems a great representation of the suit otherwise - both the HT and Medicom ones are an easy pass for me though since I'm not actually a fan of the suit design.

seriously.

for as anal and nitpicky as a lot of people on here are, they sure do like to pick and choose what they'll let slide(especially with BLARING issues).
