Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

i don't see a difference but if you all want it to be one i guess it is?

I'm not sure yet either, I guess some better comparison pics will show it more clearly.

Actually, what would've been interesting is if someone had posted pics of their first run Bats and claimed it were the new improved version. I wonder how many would've seen the "difference".

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Yeah, I'm sure you guys are right...

I was just wondering why Toy World would even post pics of the 2nd wave if it was the same figure?

Then I noticed the chest seemed to be less "busty" and the abdomen, waist and lower torso also seem slimmer than the first wave bodies so My curiosity got the best of me there...

Time will tell. Someone will post side by side shots soon if they are different and that will be that, but I wouldn't be surprised if HT used a slimmer body for the 2nd wave...

Did you not get this figure or you waiting for yours?

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I doubt they used a new body. If they used the slim body it would have been very noticeable.

Like I said before, the problem doesn't lie with the body at all. The rubber is VERY thick in the chest area and in some other places as well, like most of the legs. The chest kind of reminds me of that Captain America drawing by Rob Liefeld from some angles. And the rubber around the waist isn't fit to the body, there is some room in there.

I shoved a folded napkin down the back, which stretched the suit back. Made him a bit thinner than the Begins figure. Problem is the back then sticks out, but it's easily concealed. Didn't leave it like that. It was more of an experiment.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Ah ok, I was wondering when we'd see your pictures, always fun when it's Batman day at pjam's.

That would be every day. :lol

I have the HT BB, waiting on all the rest. I'm doing a Custom Scarecrow and Gordon as well...

That should look cool. I really want Two-Face, I wish he were coming now instead of Joker.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

And what was different from the other 1st wave of the Original batman suit? Any improvements?

Who said there was... it was only speculation. One or two said a new skin tone, but it was clearly the flash that was used in the pictures. The other part was they said the cape was softer.

It was never proven. Again speculation.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Oh, well good to know some clear facts.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Any significant change between the first and second wave of TDK suit Bats would be cost prohibitive in terms of changing molds. From a cost perspective, I would be surprised if HT made any significant changes. Either way though, I am ecstatic about my Bats (first wave from Toys2), he looks awesome.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Yes, and later there will be a 3rd wave, then a 4th wave and then a 5th...

I was the one who said the 2nd batch has lighter skintone and you know what? It does have lighter skintone than the first batch. The skintone of the second batch is closer to the DK costume Batman. Not exactly the same but definitely lighter than the first batch OC Batman.

Have you compared both in person?

I did not compare the 2nd batch OC Bats with my 1st batch OC Bats but the store did have 2nd batch OC Bats displayed for a while with the DK costume Bats and that OC Bats definitely looks lighter next to the DK Bats compared to my OC and DK Bats.

It's not weird for HT to have different skin tone between batches. It's not like they deliberately change the skin tone. The difference are more likely due to manufacturing tolerance.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

lol so after all the worrying and such....there probly no diffrence between the waves of TDk.
