Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I don't think you need to take the clips off a $200+ figure to improve the look of the cape..just trial and error..keep wrapping the tip of the clip with the end of the cape and fish it through and push down somewhat..it took me about 15mins to get the cape to look flat and evened out and plus..cutting off the clips means you have to stuff more cape in the holes so, you are shortening the cape right?.

Hm, i don't know where you have bought your figure, but $200+ seems a bit too high ;)

Pushing the clips+cape under "somewhat" looked for me a bit unnatural. Cutting the clips from the cape is for me not a huge mod. You could do it also reverse by resewing or gluing it.

Without the clips the cape lays really flat and how it should be! And I didn't push the cape into the hole so much, that the cape is now shorter than before. it's almost the same as you're pushing the clip/cape under "somewhat" ;)

I'm really happy now with the figure. The cape was the only aspect, with which i wasn't really satisfied. And now, it's really perfect. :)

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Well, thats good..it does look a bit flatter..but, just the same as mine.

Got it today! No complaints from me. Pure awesome. Here's a few crappy pics:

how brightly purple is your coat?
it looks fantastic!!
is this just a nice play between sunlight and flash?

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

that's sunlight. Some photos had a light and sunlight, but I never had a problem with the purple on my Joker.

thanks
well i don't have a problem with the purple on mine either
it's only as dark as the purple coat on the Movie Masters Joker
which ain't bad
some photos they appear lighter
so i get curious is all

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Speaking of sunlight..i am sure direct exposure to it may fade the colour of these figures?, i have mine by a window but, its covered up and still get light in but, indirect..i am sure it will not cause anything to fade.

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

No mods here. Slid the clips in, but not all the way. I believe this is second wave since Joe just got these. Very happy with him. Just trying to find that perfect pose for the shelf.

Quite agree. I never done any mods or hacks whatever you want to call it and got it flat. Sits perfectly and looks natural with the clips.

Did you stitch it up after you cut the opening where the hole was, or use fabric glue so it doesn't start to fray?

Well, I have glued it to the inside of the top of the chest piece with some UHU all purpose glue, so that has sealed it. :)

The Takara cape definitely looks the best on this figure, takes away that slight bulky look dramatically.

I posted about the grey paint rubbing off, here are some pics I found. Pics from toy-world.
