I've never seen the Hulk cartoon from the '90's, so I have not heard Lou's voice from that bit, but from random interviews I've heard with him this should cause some concern. Is the Hulk going to sound like a deaf person trying to speak?

No. Have you ever heard a band on a cd, and then when you went to hear them live you were disappointed? That's because filters, special effects and editing etc. exist on their recordings, that aren't present when they are "live". His Hulk will sound fine. Just like it did on the 90's animated project. Any "shortcomings" will be smoothed over with various editing equipment I'm sure.

I would be excited about this if A) I didn't think the new hulk movie was going to suck. and B) Lou hadn't bee a dick to my wife at Dragon Con last year. She wanted him to sign one of her Hulk DVD's and he told her he didn't want to because it wasn't one of his personal 8x10's which he was charging $20 to sign. He finally relented and agreed to sign it, if she paid twice as much for it than a regular autograph. It wasn't that we mind paying for an autograph it's just that he was being such a jerk and jacking up his price, cuz it wasn't his publicity shot.

most of them are dicks dude....I met him at the NY ComicCon...

he was an a-hole to say the least..not to mention dumb as a bag of hammers

Doesn't Lou have a speech impediment? At least it sounded that way on King of Queens......its a great throwback to the TV Series including Lou but not sure if I'd want his voice in The Hulk....I'll wait and see though.

Yes, he is deaf. I believe he went death as a child, so he was able to talk before then.

No we didn't pay for it. we left his booth, and went to Marc Singer's (Beastmaster) booth, and he just about jumped over the table gave us a big hug and welcomed us over, like we were old friends, and I have never even seen him in person before.

Nice... well played.

I think this is really cool news. Unfortunately I will have to add to the list of those who have had bad experiences with Big Lou.
I volunteer at Wizard World Philadelphia and he is there every year. Back in 2005 one of my friends worked his table, you know worked the lines for people to get autographs. At the end of the day Lou had some of the volunteers carry his bags back for him. That is not such a big deal but my buddy says Lou was a bit of a jerk about it. I thought this was an isolated incident but there have been others who complain about him, though nothing major.
I was a kid when the Incredible Hulk was on TV and Ferrigno was someone I looked up to since the Hulk was my favorite hero. It sucks to hear that he isn't the nicest person in person.

I met him about 8 years ago.

He was really nice and did some Hulk poses with us.

with the technology today, why wouldn't they synthesize ed norton's voice to do the hulk voice as well. lou ferigno is NOWHERE near norton's caliber in delivering a line. :slap

now if marc's sister lori jumped over the table to kiss me, i'd be ready! :monkey5 :monkey5 :monkey5

Of course, the real irony here is that Lou didn't provide the Hulk's voice on the series. The Hulk's rather distinctive growls were produced by the late Ted Cassidy, who also did the intro(Dr. David Banner, physician, scientist, searching for...).Anyone who doesn't know who Ted Cassidy was does not deserve to be on this board...PS

I prefer to admire the actors I like on tv or movie without wanting to meet anyone of them because I would/might be disappointed.
