Hey everyone, because of all the interest in the Van Zan
head, I went and had 40 made. 6 for figures and the other 34
for all of you. So don't leave me hanging if you
were one of the people that contacted me wanting one.

Check out the sale thread. https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81504

:lecture I wouldn't have made that many if I thought all the people interested would back out from getting one.
I would have put more cost into other parts of the figure release. There I go trying to be nice again...:lol

I think the neck is more natural like this. Based on all the screen shots
I have, he looks just like that. You almost never see his neck much until
he takes off his vest in the fight sceen and at the end.

I think it's because of the army shemagh he has around his neck,
but that's how he is most of the movie, so that's why he's presented
this way.

I totally agree. I was afraid of giraffe neck, but this looks great to me.

I'm gonna really try and get one on a Perseus body. :rock

Really loving the weathering on the clothes on the right. Will they all look like that?

They are all pretty well weathered. The vest takes the weathering
in slightly different ways for each one. But they all look good and dirty.

Once each figure is assembled, they will get a final weathering.
Just to even everything out a bit and make sure the skin is dirty looking
as well.

I guess I was looking at the pants mostly. The ones on the right look amazing!

Ah, well they are different pants. I'm featuring the
pants on the left on the SE figure, because they are the exact style
of pant he wears in the movie(not exact camo, but pant pattern).
They will get a heavy weathering before final product "Van Zan's Final Stand" is released. But I can't say anymore right now, you'll
understand why when it comes out. :)

ooooh, secrety secret final version TBD.............:panic::panic::panic:

:lol...............dude, this figure kicks ass, i will go ahead and say that the TT way takes points away from the overall but if people want that more power to them. but at this price point i think they would be better off spending the extra dough on the wolvie/perseus body. you have covered your bases & did a great job creating this figure. stand proud.....:lecture

I am proud, but I'm also broke because I spent the extra money
to have all the sculpts made...:rotfl

As far as the TT goes, there are still arm sleeves, if someone wants
to use them, they'll look good. I just didn't want to spend the
extra money. I even had a guy PM saying he had 3
Sovereign Studio seamless arm Skins he wanted to sell, but I
went with some more Perseus bodies.

His name is Mooncat. He's on here and OSW. So, if anyone is
interested in the arm skins, look him up. They are very nice.

As far as "Van Zans Final Stand" I think most people can figure it out.

Got 1 very interesting sculpt from Lonnie in the Van Zan Batch.
He said he's saw something like this happen before, but not to
this extreme. It's called ghosting. It's when some bizarre
chemical reaction happens and the outside cures much faster than
the inside and you get multiple colors. In this case (1 in a million)
the outside cured a thin layer of flesh tone while the inside cured
a translucent blood red color. You can see the darker shade of
blood red beneath the skin tone. It's as if the sculpt was real.
If you cut through the layer of skin tone, you get a blood red
mark. It also gives a lot more depth in the ears, nose, mouth and eye
area's. I almost dont want to have it painted. I may do some custom
work on it for a Battle Damaged head. If only it could happen all the time
there would be a new level of realistic sculpts that would be unmatched.

Check out the pictures. They don't even do it justice.

Check out the inside...it's a little dusty from drilling, but it's really a
translucent blood red.

Tell me that's not the greatest thing ever, with a side of creppy...:horror

Aw man! Now I want a Battle Damaged Van Zan! :gah:

Aw man! Now I want a Battle Damaged Van Zan! :gah:

Well, I'm still making the Special Edition a Battle damaged with an
original translucent resin sculpt, so it will look great. It also
comes with a special bonus dio that will suprize a lot of people.

Here are the final tatts on the Special edition.
I guess I should have taken these pics before I added
the sweat, dirt and ash weathering effects.

:gah:

So it was hard to take the pictures without the shine
off the sweat or the ash weathering effect making them look
muddy sometimes...but oh well, they look awesome in hand,
so here's the best pictures I could do for now. Hope you like.
All that's left to do is the part of the arm tatt that runs over to the back and
the parts around the belly button...:)

Here's some teasers of my "Van Zan's Last Stand" Dio that will
come with the Special Edition figure. I couldn't resist :lol

Chime in and tell me, which one appeals to you most.

Magic Hour, Run Alex Run or That's My Job.

I like 'em all, but I would go for an ax pose. Kind of crouching a little, right before he starts to run to meet his fate. :rock

Yeah, I have some of those as well. Just wanted to leave
some to the imagination and show him with the painted head
in axe poses. I actually made it to pose him flying through the air
with his axe ready. And yes...it looks really good doing that....:)

So now the secret dio is out. The final battle dio, top of the smoke stack, with grated metal like walkway and real metal railings.

Still waiting on the painted heads to come back from John.
Once I get them(hopefully next week), there will be more pictures
of the complete figure in the Dio

Wow, next week already! :google

I gotta transfer some funds! :rock

So there will only be one dio? For the 1 special edition right?
