I miss the power rangers, but that's from the 90's

Dire Straits - One of the first cassette tapes (remember those?) that I bought was Dire Straits Brothers in Arms. I listened to that tape countless times over and over in the summer of 85. Loved this group and their songs were so catchy.

Who wants their MTV?
Dire Straits - Walk Of Life [ HD Music Video ] - YouTube
A great "feel good" song! Also love all the old 80's sports teams/uniforms/stars in the video.
Dire Straits - So Far Away - YouTube
Slower tempo tune, but still catchy.
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing - YouTube
Not from Brothers in Arms, but another classic!
Not the right video but one of my favorite songs from the 80's

I don't miss the '80s, because it is always the '80s. . .in my heart
I do really miss the buoyant, energetic flavor to music that we really seem to lack nowadays. But seeing as how I haven't even attempted to listen to new popular music for at least 5 years, maybe I'm out of touch. . .

80s were great, easily the best TV, music, cartoons, movies, toys, and more. It was great because everyone would get so into things and none of this PC garbage like we have today. Everyone just had fun! So many original ideas in the 80s too...before it was all about making $$$.
You like 80's pop? Try "Natalie Portman's Shaved Head" and a group called "La Roux". Pretty awesome. And you're welcome.
Completely agree, there's a whole nother sound and what's funny it's actually coming back in spurts. You see some bands bringing back the look and the even the vibe(music) sometimes. I have several CD's in the truck with nothing but 80's, it just brings it back!
I just wanted to post this again. (devil76 won the thread with it a while back )

Mr. Sumner's singing voice sucks, though that certainly wasn't a huge deal in the 80s
