Ah yes the 80's, I remember my first concert, going to see Motley Crue back up Ozzy in 1984 in Detroit for 14 dollars, now concert tickets are 10 times the price.
The days when you could get 3 for $5, and other mind altering substances were still 4 bucks.
It cost 35 cents to hop the bus.
The Red Wings sucked and you could get a standing room ticket to the game and sit 3 rows from the glass and watch Probert and Kocur beat the tar out of people.
I remember my mom having to go reserve Thriller from the movie rental place when it came out, people were going crazy over it.
Buying a CD player when they first came out and having to buy my fav albums over again on CD.
Watching the Dukes of Hazzard and The Fall Guy and never realizing how cheezy those shows really were until seeing them nowadays and groaning "how did I watch this crap"
Stewing all summer to try and figure out "Who shot JR"
Having somebody pass me a joint about 9 inches long, of the worst dirt weed Ive ever smoked, at a Deep Purple concert when they started to play Smoke on the Water.
Getting my first VCR with a wireless remote.
Waiting for hours on end to get in the bathroom while my 3 older sisters applied their "War Paint" prior to going out to the bars and meeting guys who had on more makeup and hairspray than they did.
Ah yes, the good ole days....
