I agree. Wrestling is gay. Any time there are men in shorts getting on top of each other, it's gay. Some may say that's it's competition, but there are many forms of competition that do not involve that. MMA is gay too, for the same reason. Wearing shorts and rolling around on the ground with other men over and over again has to be done because they enjoy it. Why would any really straight man find that enjoyable?
I don't like fighting, but at least boxing doesn't include that kind of gayness. There are other martial arts that don't involve getting on top of other men, either. You can kick someone's butt without getting on top of them, or embracing them from behind.
I have more respect for gladiators who fight to the death, because at least then something is accomplished, because there is some finality to it. The enemy is dead and he will never be getting back up again, you will never have to deal with him again, it's done. Sure, it's barbaric, but then, so is fighting. At least fighting to the death is more honest. Otherwise, people should pursue peaceful diversions or contests.
Peaceful contests are what I support, like racing.
