I'm only 21 and I have spent so much money on figures. I don't know how people budget their money, all of mine seems to go to the bills I have to pay and the rest goes to figures. I really want a car now, a 2009 Challenger and with the car payments and all I don't think there's going to be much room for collecting. I have a very addicting personality, I tend to buy things on a whim without thinking about the money. I make custom figures all the time too. I just ordered two head sculpts within the past 3 days. I know it's possible to pay bills and have money for living and still collect, almost everyone on here does it but I'm not like everyone. So as of today I'm done buying full figures and I'm going to keep my custom making to a minimum, like 2 or 3 customs a year. I'm not sure why I'm posting this, maybe seeing on typed will help.

I sold my entire collection to buy a house. I didn't think twice about the decision. So do whats right for you and what makes you happy. I plan on buying a few pieces here and there. However, I will no way go back to having rooms full of collectibles. Oh and PF's only here on out as well. My next purchase should be obvious. The Vlad PF. :lol

Buying things on a whim have gotten me in trouble in the past. You tend to grow out of that in time. At least I did.

Enjoy your new car!

I quit collecting a few months ago myself. I make the occasional Doctor Who custom, but that's it. The prices got to be more than I cared to pay and the clutter was starting to bug me. Now I just have a handful of custom pieces on display, and my spending has gone way way down. I doubt I'll ever go back to collecting boxed pieces again, or at least I have no desire to as of now.

Good for you.

I don't think I could afford this hobby when I was 21. Takes a full time job, with a house and car already budgeted. Otherwise, I'd feel guilty spending my money on "toys" when there were bigger priorities.

The problem is I a fan of old cars, right now I have a 72 Olds 442 but it tends to have a lot of problems. The only other new cars that I like is the Magnum and the Charger.

I think I"m just anti-domestic, but I wouldn't buy those either. How about the Pontiac G8?? I test drove one of the GXPs and it was seriously fun. You should stray away from a "brand new" car and possibly search for a nice used '08 or '09 and let someone else pay for the depreciation. Most dealerships will still offer a warranty on the car, and you're still getting a pretty new car that isn't falling apart.

:lecture

Those camaros are already as abundant as mustangs already.

Yup. They're about as common as the Honda Civic now. I really liked the new Camaro 3 years ago, but now that they're everywhere I find it kind of boring, and the SS really isn't that quick considering how much power it has. The Chevy dealership in my town has at least 40 (not sarcastic) sitting on the lot.

If I were to get a Challenger, it would be a 2009. The G8 is really nice though, I'm just not a fan of the newer body styles.
