Mo money mo problems.

Looks like there's about $200 there. :lol

I actually have a problem buying anything for myself, if there's something I have to pay for like car registration or something I don't think twice about paying for it, but if there's something I want to buy that I don't need I have a hard time getting myself to buy it. I haven't bought any Sideshow figures since 1/6th Vader since I was finishing college and didn't really have extra money.

Really it's just a matter of saving for the things you know is coming and if you think it might be a bad idea to buy something then you probably shouldn't.

There were a couple things I had to cancel and I'm glad I did because even though at the time it would have made things tight (but still manageable) it turned out if I had bought them I would have been screwed.

Anyways, good luck on getting a new car, I myself plan to get a Camaro, there aren't too many around here, but either way they kick ass. And right now I'm driving a '92 Nissan 240sx and I'm not sure it'll survive another year.

I'm only 21 and I have spent so much money on figures. I don't know how people budget their money, all of mine seems to go to the bills I have to pay and the rest goes to figures. I really want a car now, a 2009 Challenger and with the car payments and all I don't think there's going to be much room for collecting. I have a very addicting personality, I tend to buy things on a whim without thinking about the money. I make custom figures all the time too. I just ordered two head sculpts within the past 3 days. I know it's possible to pay bills and have money for living and still collect, almost everyone on here does it but I'm not like everyone. So as of today I'm done buying full figures and I'm going to keep my custom making to a minimum, like 2 or 3 customs a year. I'm not sure why I'm posting this, maybe seeing on typed will help.

may i suggest collecting fingernails instead, its free and its FUN.:cuckoo:

:lol

I'm 21! I pay for 100% of my college, car and insurance, new fiancée and still have $ to blow on ridiculously amazing things!

Get a new/better job and invest in the stock market!

That's rough. Puerto Ricans think they have a million dollars, but they don't. Then they think they were born, but they weren't. No wonder Bam can't get any. Even if she got it, she wouldn't.

You should stray away from a "brand new" car and possibly search for a nice used '08 or '09 and let someone else pay for the depreciation. Most dealerships will still offer a warranty on the car, and you're still getting a pretty new car that isn't falling apart.

That used to be true but it isn't any longer. Dealerships are making most of their money on 2-3 year old used cars. When I was looking 3 weeks ago, the 09 model was only $1000 less than the 10 model after all of the incentives.

^^^That's a good recommendation as well, but the insurance might kill you. I looked into buying an '05 C5 until I found out that the insurance premium was going to be $185 a month. No thanks....I need a backseat too.

At 21, insurance on a Civic is going to kill him.:lol

At 21, these should be the priorities:

1. Place to live
2. Finding poon
3. Dependable transportation
4. Finding poon
5. Ramen and tuna fish
6. Finding poon...make sure you brush your teeth after the Ramen/tuna fish.

Why is alcohol not on that list?

2, 4, and 6...should be upgraded to poontang at 21.:monkey3
...you wont be on ramen/tuna budget meal if done right.:lecture

Gas-guzling pigs?? Absolutely. I'd much rather spend the same amount of money you would on a new Challenger/Charger/Camaro on a '08 or '09 BMW 335xi.

Personally, I wouldn't get a BMW unless you can spend all day for a oil change on the weekdays. I had two previous BMWs and currently leasing another one. They are great driving car, and the engines are amazing. But the electronics are always going out. Make sure the car stays under warranty, otherwise you will be out about 600 bucks each time you take the car in. Depending on your price range, I would get the Infiniti G37 coupe if maintenance costs become an issue.

... invest in the stock market!

+1

If you can do without the car, start researching on how to invest. Set up a trading account online and start placing that money in a good mutual fund or your stock of choice for starters.

Read up on fundamental and technical trading, then start looking into daytrading. Practice with paper accounts. Once you get the hang of it, shift some of your money into daytrading and start taking control of your money.

By the time you're 30, you may be able to buy ALL of these collectibles and then some with one weeks worth of gains.

There are alot of people out there with good ideas and expertise...you just have to do some research.

I went though that... You'll comeback to the hobby, just spend sometime getting your life setup and then get back into... I'm only collecting MOTU classics at the moment at Uni, studying... So my budget is non-existant. Missed the P1 Predator & Dutch, HT Terminator 2 figures :gah:

But if the day comes that I still really want them and can afford it... I get them then! Collectibles come and stay, and new ones come out every other day... So take a break and if your still interested, comeback! :hi5:
