IF (and that's a big if) you can swing it, try to pick yourself up a used corvette. Best driving experience for the money and you won't regret giving up your collectibles for it!

^^^That's a good recommendation as well, but the insurance might kill you. I looked into buying an '05 C5 until I found out that the insurance premium was going to be $185 a month. No thanks....I need a backseat too.

Corvette? Blah.

I'm starting to move away from collecting lines and just going for characters I love and going PF/Maquette only, 1:1 bust or 1:6 customs. When I was 21, I wouldn't have been able to get into the high end stuff...I'd come back when you're in your late 20's...probably be able to pick the stuff up at 25% of the price...especially if you collect SW PF's. :lol

:lecture:lecture I started collecting when I was 19, but I limited myself to only a few things here or there. If you think the Star Wars PFs depreciate in value, wait until you see how bad the Master Replicas stuff have gone.

Thank God this isnt one of those "I've learned people are more important than material possessions" or, "I'm going to help Darfur/The Spill/Kids Dying of Cancer" threads.

Nothing wrong with giving up material possessions for more material possessions :D

ENJOY THE CHARGER BRO! And GL with insurance I couldnt afford sportscar insurance til I was 30!

In my defense I have some disorders, like ocd and depression and at the time buying things made me feel better but it just isn't working anymore. I tend to just get more depressed because I always stuck without money.

Buying a car is going to have the same result except you're stuck making payments. Seriously, just cut back to 1,2, or maybe 3 items a year. I did this a few years ago and it helps with everything. When I first got into collecting I thought I had to get everything and constantly had to work extra shifts to pay for them. Perhaps just limit your collecting to just one line or just 12" or PF figures.

The less you buy the more appreciation there is.:goodpost:

Thank you for the advice, I really do appreciate. That's what I think I'm going to do. What kills me is making the customs because there are so many characters that aren't made that I want but I if limit my collecting as a start it should help.

he's 21, the insurance will kill him on any sportscar he buys

the best advice I can give you is to call the insurance company for a quote before you buy the car. even if you have a clean record, you're still gonna pay at least $200 extra a month

:lecture This. Well except taking on extra shifts .............. i'm rich as ____! :lol

Seriously though, since ....... well the new year i've only bought (with money not raised from selling something) I think 3 figures. Wolverine, DX Batman and T2 T-800. I've never been more content too ............ plus i'm married so my dollies obviously had to take a back seat sooner or later :lol

I'm also currently in the "thought process" of downgrading further to just Terminator product. Nothing more.

Also, for the record, the Camaro owns all .............. its also the most expensive up here. I can see myself with a Stang real soon. :wink1:
