That's what people need to do! So many take out loans then pay just the minimum. If you pay more any time you can, you'd get the loan out of the way quicker. I see this with people and houses. They come onto a ton of money, instead of paying at least some of it toward their houses or other big loans, they blow it on other things.

It's great to only have utilities to pay. My credit cards are only for convenience. I pay them off every month and rack up points. :yess:

I think I've found my next ex wife.:yess:

That's exactly what I do. :duff

I use Discover to pay for Gas and Groceries, etc. And then get the travel points!

I have my Best Buy card which has been very very good to me and also my Amazon card which I put all my Sideshow orders on. I also have a Discover card with cash back.

I don't use any with travel points because I don't go anywhere.

Well, a bit of an update. I didn't get the challenger, I haven't bought a figure since I started the thread, which is isn't that long ago but it's something. The awesome part is I had a date for the first time in a very long while last night. As I driving to meet her, I start hearing some noises from my car (I had heard this noise before but I had just gotten my breaks done and I thought they were a little tight so that's why I thought they were making noise) but anyway, after the date was over I stared driving home and the noise was even louder. I call my parents and ask them to pick me up. So they come, my dad starts to drive the car home. Me and my mom follow him. We're going along for a few exits and all of a sudden the front passenger wheel flies off the car and sparks start flying. The car coasts to the side of the road and stops. My dad was okay, thank goodness. But my car isn't doing so well. My uncle came to help today (he's really good with cars) and realizes that the tire wasn't put back on properly. We got it towed to the mechanic who did the breaks in the first place and I don't think he's taking responsibility for it. So yeah, I'm kind of screwed.

He's the last one who put the tire on, and if it wasn't put on properly, then it's his responsiblity. Tell him if he doesn't fix your car cost free, that you'll see him in court.

Yep and call the Better Business Bureau.

They endangered your life, they need to realize that and step up to the plate.

This sounds exactly like what happened to a buddy of mine at work. He had his tires rotated at a mechanic right near my work. When he was driving home, he went to make a left turn, and the front right tire kept going straight while the car went left. No damage except the tire took out some bushes. Could have been much worse.

Anyway, he went back tot the mechanic a little pissed, and the mechanic offered to fix everything on his dime. Like I said, damage was minimal. But the mechanic went around to each tire and found the torque was wrong and too loose for ALL the tires. At this point, the mechanic became VERY concerned and started getting pissed at his tool distributor. This mechanic had just bought a new tire air-pressure tightener thingy and he thought it wasn't calibrated correctly. Anyway, co-worker leaves the shop with the issue resolved.

A couple days later, my co-worker is in his front yard and he see a car take a corner and their front tire flies off the axle and runs into someones house. :lol My co-worker and this guy start talking about what just happened. The police were called. An inspection of neighborhood cars is done. Turns out some punk kids were going around the neighborhood loosening people's tire lugs.

Co-worker later apologizes to his mechanic and explains the situation.

That mechanic should be taking responsibility for your tire, TF. Decent mechanics will fix the problem on their cost and this is clearly a case that the tire wasn't put on properly after he fixed your brakes. A few months back I needed to get new front end ball joints. After picking it up from my mechanic, I traveled about a block away before the ball joint popped out. Needless to say, the mechanic felt horrible about it and corrected the problem immediately on his own cost. I was lucky that I didn't take the car on the highway. It was only up the road...

Starting reading the first 5 pages of this thread and then bounced to the end.
Had a feeling you would relapse:)

I am pretty much the same and always end up selling stuff to pay for new customs.

I think I am getting on top of things now and would advice the same as others and scale down your collection to the bare essentials so you can appreciate the stuff you have.

That is what I am in the process of doing and it isn't as hard as it sounds.
Once you start selling and things are gone you dont really miss them and the space they leave is quickly filled.

Hope you get a handle on your addiction;)
