I think I'm done collecting.

Also, you could just buy the bare essentials in the first place, so your collection doesn't get so huge that you have to get rid of stuff.

Yeah I feel the same way, except I want an F355 Ferrari LOL. This is a VERY VERY expensive hobby to have, especially if you have other interests

Just opened up this thread and i think i will be doing the same, i have spent a stupid amount of money on this hobby in the last 2/3 years and now i don't want out but i am definately going to limit myself to 2/3 figures a year max after xmas

The best thing is but, imho, I can totally feel fine still frequenting the boards and checking out people's work, and new figures etc. It's such a cool hobby just to have for that reason (as an interest) without having to actually buy stuff, as cool as things are. I haven't bought anything for ages (besides some custom stuff), even though I've wanted HEAPS. I do find it easy though to just cruise along here and admire stuff without feeling the urgent need to purchase (unless it's 1/6th joker stuff :p) which brings me to my next point. A focussed collection. Worse case, I'm only going to buy Joker or at the very biggest stretch, Batman-only stuff (maybe Ezio for one last hoorah :p) Can be a double edged sword though, seeing your particular specific-only stuff that ends up as 'must haves' to fill your particular interest of collection

I have a small collection compared to most of the regulars, but love to see what all the customizers are making. I live vicariously through my fellow FREAKS! :rock

My advice to new collectors is to pick characters you really like and don't buy everything you see. I have been collecting 1/6 figures on and off for over 10 years and I only have around 40 figures. I have never sold any and I see no need to.

[That doesn't count the trunk full of 7" plastic that I would love to sell, but no one would be interested in buying. :(]

I can't believe how much SS is putting out for the SDCC. Its really hard to keep up. I haven't ordered anything yet, trying to hold back. But its hard to be a completest these days. Its probably what made me drop alot of lines.

The urge to have everything has passed with me think it was a case of making up for my stingy dad who never bought me toys, well that is my excuse anyway:)

With your box full of 7 inch plastic I would give it a go on fleabay.
To you it may be junk or worthless but to a new collector it might be just what they want.

One mans rubbish is another mans treasure:)
