The sword of dormin. No one really knows what the sword does but its really cool. When you get all the coins it unlocks a secret door in the main castle to get it.

Just to let you know, youll have to get to the top of the castle and a couple of items done through the time trials to get every coin. They made stuff pretty tough in this one. To max out your grip will take 3.5 playthroughs.

I'm okay with that. I'm enjoying my stay. This is one game I will be getting the Platinum. I got to the top of the tower in the original...I will do it again.

I just remembered, you can get to the top of the castle by jumping diagonal without maxing out stamina due to a glitch, unfortunately it has been fixed for ps3 and ps4.

Just finished my 4th playthrough in hard mode+ while getting the speed run trophy for beating it in 2h 59m, i think they give you 5h 43m to do it. I have all the time attack items for normal mode, now when i get out of work im going to do the hard mode time attack to get all the items and also get the trophy for getting all the items as one set. Then ill work one the last of the trophies to get the platinum. I think i have almost 40 hours into this game so far. Apparently im not maxed out on stamina and life so ill round that out tonight as well for the trophy, im pretty damn close though. I got 70 coins so far and need the parachute to get the last 9. They really give you a lot to achieve in this game and they dont make it easy.

That's awesome, I'm doing the same thing as you right now. Unfortunately I messed up when I was trying to get the trophy for the time attack weapons. I ended up starting the game on hard mode over my original save and nothing transferred over, including the coins i found. I found 70 coins. But, i figured out the right way to get all of the weapoms as one set and got that trophy, now im going around and finding all the coins again, as well as trying to find all the lizards and fruit.

I'm on a new normal game+ now. My question is when I beat that, can I do a new game+ in hard mode, save that over my normal difficulty game, and have everything transfer over (health, stamina, coin count, etc). The way they have this set up is just confusing

That's exactly how you were supposed to do it you were supposed to go New Game Plus and then use your original save file then pick hard then original

Yeah, I had the last two days off so I just kept playing. I did the five hour hard mode run yesterday, which is ridiculously easy with the Queens blade unlocked. It took me about 2 hours to beat. Today was just beating it once more to get my bars maxed out and then the ole Shrine climb.

The hard mode time attack is frustrating as hell I'm about to throw my controller.

Ugh yeah. That was the hardest part about this game. For some reason, Colossi 3 and 5 gave me the most trouble. I swear the game physics were NOT working how they usually worked while I was fighting them. It seemed like the game would just randomly decide to throw me off the Colossus even though there's no reason I should be. It was nuts. It happened so many times. I was holding on to that damn bird and POOF! Off I go flying into the distance. WUT!?

I expected an annoying time with #16...but oddly his time attack gave me no trouble.

I found that a lot of the times I was rushing and trying to do shortcuts, like letting go to drop to a lower part of the colossus or something, but this almost always had me making mistakes. So I just relaxed and took it at a moderate pace and almost always managed to clear it in the time limit.

Agreed about colossi 3, he was the toughest one for me to beat in hard time attack. The rest weren't too bad, but Gaius was pissing me off so bad. I've gotten 7 coins now, finding the other 63 I originally found is going to be a long grind...

First time playing this game and I’m blown away. It’s so complete and finely made. Wanted to cry tears of joy after the very last cinematic. Any other game close to this? Just wow

I'd suggest Ico or The Last Guardian if you haven't played either. I know people have their gripes with TLG, but I feel like it is a great game with a very emotional ending. Shadow is my favorite out of the three, but the other two games are absolutely worth experiencing, especially when you have an appreciation for Shadow

I second The Last Guardian. I played Ico, Shadow and Guardian and personnally my favorite is Guardian, it's definitely the most emotional and engaging of the three, and it has some haunting soundtrack, though maybe not as memorable as the Shadow tunes.

How I wish Ico would get a HD remake..

I just wanted to know how good is this game. Sadly did not play this when it was first released on PS2

I've felt this way since it first came out on ps2, but to me it is the greatest game ever made. Some people may disagree with me on that, but I love this game more than anything I've ever played. Do yourself a favor and pick it up
