I'd definetly prefer to see them seperated again for a few movies at least.

A Predator movie set in the past would make an interesting twist, as it's been established they've been hunting humans for hundreds of years. The story of how the Elder from P2 ended up with Raphael Andolini's Flintlock Pistol would be good (I know it's been done in the comics already)

I don't think it would feel like a direct remake. The Predator's the game-changer. Regardless, after the two steamers they've given us I would actually welcome a pseudo Aliens remake.

The only thing that will make these movies fun is an interesting human element, which they've failed to deliver twice. Badass soldiers, whether they're US Marines or Colonial marines could give it the kick it needs.

Or, just throw them in the middle ages. That could be cheesy fun.
