If you've seen a ghost what did it look like?

Hasn't happened to me in well over ten years. I am curious about how it's dangerous though. How can it kill you, exactly?

Suffocation.

If it happens like once a week tho or something along those lines go tell a doctor right away.

My friend use to have it in college and he would thrash, one night he dislocated his shoulder trying to get himself to flip over and come out of it.

That makes sense. I was wondering if there was something cardiac involved (other than the potential heart attack from having the living hell scared out of you).

That may also be possible, when it happens to me its just that I can't move so I just go back to sleep. I also always set my alarm for every 5 hours when its getting bad.

My friend would hallucinate someone was in the room with him tho, and this made him panic that he was being robbed or murdered which is why he thrashed around to try and wake up. It's crazy to see it happening to someone.

I've always had it with the threat component involved, so I always had the incentive to wake up. Never saw the invader though. Just aware of their presence. Once or twice there were several of them. I think the time they came up through the waterbed and tried to pull me in with them was the worst. :monkey1

The last time it happened to me was last year. Serves me right for depriving myself of sleep!:banghead

Oi! Now at least I know I'll die of cardiac arrest in my sleep!:rotfl

You're nuts!:lol

So WHY is it always this woman or witch is the part that I cannot explain to myself. WHY does everyone have the same sleep paralysis of this witch sitting on their chest or suffocating them, that is just too weird of a coincidence?

Guys are these orbs? Everyone says they're dust...but what about the one near the wall to the right? Is that a bad one? The creepy thing is that the orbs on the top left of the photo look like a pair of eyes almost.

Here are some more photos, taken same night. I have seen no other orbs in any of the photos taken with this camera on other occasions...only this surprise b-day party.

I encircled the pair of orbs, to the left of the photo...and the streak to the right I encircled as well.

sorry to disappoint that's just dust but i can see how you would think that since they're aligned like that orbs are usually different colours not just plain grey like purples and red's.

I've only experienced sleep paralysis once in my life, many years ago now. I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like I was pinned to the bed. I tried to move but it was like there was no energy in my muscles at all. It also felt like I was trying to scream, but nothing would come out. Wore off after what seemed like a few seconds. It was scary as hell.

That's kind of a relief. I am always looking at my photos to see if I can see orbs.

Sleep paralysis sounds really scary.

But I do love the dreams where I am falling down and wake up with a jump. Those are some of the best dreams I have. They don't happen that often, but I always have to giggle when I wake up like that.

Ski, did you see Paranormal State last night? That was a good one. So could you have gone solo into those different places like Ryan asked them too? Nope for me. Would have been s**ting twinkies. The scariest place was Heather in the "Sugar Shack." They made it up for Halloween so there were hanging bodies and creepy dolls lying around. And then she started to hear weird sounds. I would have freaked out.:(

How about the inverted pentagram in the watch tower! I wonder what made Ryan leave the first time? What spooked him? They didn't explain it......And that dude isn't scared of anything. I wonder what happened to him in his childhood that brought back the bad memories?

I was brave enough to watch last night! But...I did watch the tv without my glasses, and I was knitting at the same time, so I didn't "jump" in all of the appropriate places...but that pentagram in the watch tower was FREAKY!!! And also capturing the shadow figure on film...YIKES!!

Do you guys think that the priest sprinkling holy water was enough to close up that portal via the pentagram? I don't think so!! It's like...they needed to excise out the demons there, but they did not do that.

Ghost Hunters did an episode from there and they debunked the shadow figure photo due to IR reflection.

The holy water was a stop-gap measure until they completely remove the pentagram.

The best thing they did was to burn tobacco to appease the Indian burial mound.

Sure did man, still curious as to what Ryan saw there the first time he investigated it.

That creepy doll was like :horror :monkey4

I think if something were to scare me that bad, I might have to do what Ryan did in order to close that door or that incident in my life, it's like what they always say you have two reactions whenever something happens to you in the heat of the moment or whenever somebody is attacking you, "Kill or be killed" :rock

GH should be tonight if I'm correct, Wed nights FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it's like they were showing the clip of Ryan the first time and then he panicked and all of a sudden the camera went blank. WTF!

Yup, GHI tonight. IMO, the worst ghost show out of all of them. Still wouldn't miss it. :lol

You know what's so weird? Why is A Haunting on the Animal Planet? It used to be on the discovery.

cause the ghost cat's jumped on the remote at the discovery headquarter's and changed the channel. that's got to be the reason

I've never seen a ghost but I have felt one. In the Winchester Mansion of all places. I was walking down a narrow hallway with my camcorder when suddenly somebody pushed my back very hard and I fell to my knees. I spun around and nobody was anywhere near me. I have it on camera. And I am a huge skeptic but I definitely felt a hand press my back in a violent fashion.

I also dabble with the Ouija board and have gotten some interesting results. Whether or not it's an ideo-motor response it's still fascinating.

When I was a little girl I felt someone tap me hard on the shoulder and turned to see no one but that I like to write off as a weird muscle spasm.

As for ghost shows, I pretty much feel that they're all faking it. No ghostly activity, no ratings. The only one I watch is Haunted History and I've seen every episode of it too many times to count.

Penn & Teller: Bull____! did a great episode on ghost hunters in Season 3.
