A futzed photo:

Kind of a bummer... I guess Vader's boot pegs were not all the way pushed into the legs, so now I have a little excess drape....

Great futz, Buttflossi. Tunic looks awesome.

You could always trim it, its not like you would be damaging it.

I just worry about getting it straight... I'll play it by ear and see if I'm willing to give it a try.

I ended up using a rubber band to hold the tunic in place around the waist; this really helped with achieving that bunched up, pleated look once the belt was on. The one thing I was getting frustrated with was the tunic dropping off the shoulders. I ended up taking another rubber band and siding it up the back side of the tunic in order to keep it bunched together... I also used these little sticky things my wife had for scrap booking called "Zots" on the back of the upper body armor to keep the tunic from sliding all over. This is by far the happiest I've been with this figure in the three and a half years it's been in my collection. It really screams Darth Vader to me in every way now.

Good tips Flossomatic!

I wouldn't worry too much about the cape dragging a tiny bit, it looks fantastic either way.

Thank you for the feedback, guys! Lance and I have been friends for a long time and this is our first production together (Lance = Cape, Dave = Tunic).

As Lance mentioned, if anyone is interested in a second run please contact him. We're ready to go!

im thinking of trimming the tunic a bit at where it lays on the front part of chest/shoulders. it's like it has to be folded double twice to get the right width down the front. i think that will help more with the bunching at the shoulders.

dammit, chain broke and I barely touched it.........:gah:

That sux. I saw noticed that dab of clue holding the chain on and immediatley thought that was gonna be a problem area. At least its and easy fix. Even throwing in a few stitches would be relatively easy.

Why do so many of the new pictures have a 'navy' tint to the color? In hand it looks jet black. Is it the mateial texture catching the light? .

Lighting. Its pitch black in person.

thats the only thing giving me a problem right now..........i know the cape covers it but throws the natural slope off some. i'm going to try ironing it first to get the narrow edge down the front but if that doesn't work........the scissors come out..........:panic:

Or successes. I can't control what you do with your time, I just ask that you document it accordingly :)
