dammit, chain broke and I barely touched it.........:gah:

seems like there is excess fabric at the shoulders that has to be rolled under on the tunic. definitely going to give the iron a try to see if that helps. anyway with all I''ve done tonight I'm putting this on hold til tomorrow.

we shall endevor to persevere..........:lecture

Yeah that happened to me too. I haven't fixed it yet. But I will maybe this weekend.

You know what folks. I noticed on the KP02 body seems slightly smaller in the chest area. I put the armor outside the robes and it kind of looks cool via TESB verison. I will try to take some craptacular pics sometime.

A futzed photo:

Excellent! Nice bunching on the tunic, that's the way its supposed to look.

But get it away from that kitchen flourescent light!

NOTE:
The edges of my tunic and my cape are curling. Anyone else have that? Since we were warned against ironing the edge I'm wondering how to keep it from rolling up.

Yeah I noticed mine doing the same but I have the edges of the tunic folded in and the cape draping where you don't see the edge so it quickly became a non issue.

mine did in a few small spots. try steaming it maybe?............otherwise you may have to start over & completely reverse the folds.

I'll substitute beer with coffee. My life would not be complete without an abundance of coffee. MUST HAVE COFFEE!

:duff

That explains sooooo much... :wink1:

Yes, I have the same issue with both my original lforigno Vader cape, and the Batman capes. A little futzing, and it's no big deal.

Can some one tell me the dimensions of a non-modded SS Vader body from shoulder to bottom of feet? I am having Iforigno prepare a tunic/cloak set. (My Vader is in storage until I can get this)

Thanks in advance fellow Freaks.

OK... finally... through curling and flaking edges.... uneven lengths.... and a lot of pulling and pinching and tweaking....

Here's what I got: robe cinched at shoulders and beltline to hold the wrinkles...

And, the fully ROBED and CAPED Vader....

The two center ones look best but I wanted the light to show the cape and robe.

Got to say, I was getting frustrated but once I got him all together... WOW! Absolutely COOL! Love it! Well worth it all.

Thanks, guys!

That the Heroik body, right?

Yes, KP-02 bod mod, helmet mod, lforigno cape/robe set.

Here's some compares of the Sideshow Cape + Robe VS lforigno Cape + Robe (Dave's robe)...

Two on top are Sideshow, two bottom are new set...

I highly recommend PRE-stitching your robe "wrinkles" in place at the shoulders and the beltline before you try to put Vader together. This material is like butter -- which is good -- but it is difficult to work with when it comes to trying the 'bunch and hold' method.

Excellent work on the tunic, Greg! I hope I can get mine to look as good...

Would you mind sharing how you 'cinched' yours? I'm crap with a needle, but maybe I can McGuyver another solution.

Thanks! I actually just tucked the sides to get rid of the 'shawl' hang. Now he's good.

When I get home from work I'll post some in-progress pics I took of the "cinch". You don't have to know how to sew to do it. But you could also just tie a loose ring of thread around the area to hold it together or even use a think sliver of tape (cape will hide shoulders, belt will hide waist). I went with the stitching so that I could tie it off and never worry again.

Ahhh I see the method to the madness now, I'll definitely be using one of those techniques. :duff
