messed with a bit of accordion sewing at the shoulders & belt tonight. pretty pleased at the upper half, but the lower half doesn't want to cooperate..........

yes sir..........i've mentioned this before. i think a way around that could be to accordion sew it like you did but in two places, one at the shoulder.........and the 2nd at the belt.

Now that I have some time to pay attention to my hobby-life (at least for a few weeks), I've finally and a chance to pay attention to this thread - the pics are amazing! Omfg, the cape(s) transform the figure! I've decided I must get this - I just have a straight-outta-the-box Vader, and the cape ain't great. It looks like some have modded the helmet...is that the "Hasbro dome" mod that I'm seeing? Have people modded the body as well? I'm guessing that would drastically affect the length of the cape. The 'purist' in me hates to modify the existing SSC Vader figure, but the customizer in me drools over some of the results you guys are getting. It's hard to argue with figure that looks like the one in, say, Wor Gar's pics.

Hey Iforigno, got my cape through the mailbox today. I'm still in the process of swapping out the stock body for a KP one, but I took a few minutes to try the cape on and see how it looks. It's amazing, drapes over the shoulders so well. The material feels good. Really pleased. Worth every penny.
