I'm still preordering tommorrow. If anything I think the problem lies more in the paint than the sculpt. You recognize who it is instantly. Plus I'm anxious to see if the exclusive accessory is the necklace Anakin made her. A small piece to be sure, but it's something I really want her to have!

I still can't believe more people voted this figure than Mara Jade and Kir Kanos. Sad, really. This is a waste. The only way this thing will be worth anything is if the edition size is set at 100.

Something about her clothes and gun design just isn't Star Wars-esque to me.

The costume hasn't really transferred well from the animation... not helped by SSC using that cheap and nasty PVC; it's very, very hard to get that looking good over female curves - there are better materials on the market. The cloak just looks like she's nicked it from a My Scene doll or similar; it doesn't look Star Warsy in any shape nor form.

The whole glove/arm assembly looks fugly (an accusation which could *not* be aimed at the excellent sculpt though)... and misaligned somehow in the prototype. And if there's no wrist articulation in there then she ain't going to be able to see much through her binnocs.

I for one love to see core characters in EU getup, and she looks nice to me - except for those bon-bons (but I guess they have to be faithful to the cartoon)

The more I think about this figure (the character, not the sculpt or outfit) the more I'm leaning on passing. I want a Padme (maybe even a few), but this is not a representation of her that I am excited about. There will be other Padme's to come and I think I'm going to wait for those.
