All he needs to think about is how lucky he is and remember all those Haitian's out there who have nothing to their names as their homes are destroyed and loved ones lost. It'll put this in perspective real quick and he won't be heartbroken anymore.

Why do this? Why go the DB route and take it to the extreme? Is a broken statue worse than the horrors going on in Haiti no. Does everyone with one functional braincell know that? Absolutely. Why not let the guy just be pissed the piece he was looking forward to came broken without this puffy tree-hugging bull____ in as "perspective"....:banghead

I was actually thinking the same thing Mike, I understand and I feel for Haiti but it's almost like bringing politics or some serious subject to a collectible forum that really those a curve ball or major debbie downer.

There's just no need. Yes I do feel for the Haiti ppl, I know we are lucky BTW.

AV will get a MINT one, I know it because he has the IM gods on his side. When you bow :bow down to that many IM's everyday there's no way he's gonna let you fail :lecture

I guess because it's on my mind since i did lose someone very close to me over there. I wasn't trying to start anything here, this is not about politics at all. I'm just as excited about this piece as everyone is and am looking forward to seeing it too all lit up.

That's just silly!
That's just chance.

I will show you!

Obviously you misunderstand.

My point was that a bunch of you guys THOUGHT you were getting the "golden ticket" by being the first few to receive your 1:2 IM Maquette, and scoffed at the possibility of getting anything less than stellar.

"Oh these will be PERFECT so that Sideshow can bait anyone on the fence, and the IM's after this initial batch won't be as good as ours!!!"

yadayadayada.... Ya spoke too soon apparently. Looks to me like you ended up being the guinea pigs.

Other than the break itself, the Maquette looks AWESOME from the one lopped off picture that we did receive. So far, no complaints about the piece itself. The complaint lyes within the shipping (packaging) method.

That packing is obviously substandard, something they hopefully address after you guinea pigs all return your "perfect" maquettes from shipping damages.

So much for all the "yeah bro, this initial batch will be FLAWLESS, and the later shipment guys are screwed!!!".

Whose laughing now?

i think i was the first to make that point and i'm not even getting one of these. there's no saying that this one wasn't mint before the shipping damage happened and i'm sure ssc didn't actually ship this piece with the arm broken off.

on the other hand though if it may have been damaged before they actually received it. in that case if ssc isn't opening these $2000 statues up before they ship out, someone needs an a@@ kicking imo.
