International shipping has changed on this folks. You need to contact SS ASAP to confirm shipping costs. They have also changed shipping on DV 1:1 and Predalien 1:1.

Prediction:

Paint Fiasco ahead.

That's exactly why I didn't order this at the Con. Not to mention the non-refundable deposit which I hate. I first want to see in-hand photos and see if there is any problems. If it doesn't turn out like the IM bust nightmare then I'll go ahead and order it.

:lecture Good reasons to do that... very smart Bob. SS Quality on these peices are really terrible.

I really feel for the peeps that have the IM 1:1 bust and whenever they were all checking to find the paint peels.

I as well. Now, I'm really going to wait until these are released, into collections, and have sat a while before considering the 1:2 IM piece. Like many have said, I can see the 1:1 bust debacle happening to the 1:2.

Wo nt SWS(sorry,ca nt call them by the other name)have a say on the quality of this one though? They wo nt want their name muddied with a fiasco like the one experienced with the bust.

I ve ordered mine through Big Bad Toystore. Many thanks to whoever posted that suggestion!!

SWS or Legacy or whomever has no control over the factories in China that produce this. The prototypes are hand painted by in house artists but when it gets on the production lines there isn't anything to be done until it goes through QC and even if it goes through QC it looks like the paint peeling isn't happening until some time passes.

Well....

I could no longer resist the Iron Child, non refundable down payment complete.

I was finally able to look past his 40"/25lbs weight mystery and just appreciate the fact that a mix of technologies (perfect fit for the character involved) is keeping him from weighing like Hulk PF x 2.

From the beginning I was obsessed with him but then the weight issue cropped up plus me beginning to think that his pose could've been more dynamic coupled with the fact that I got slammed with so much awesomeness being revealed all at once during SDCC that it wasn't too difficult to be derailed from my initial goal.

Yeah I wish that he was in an attack stance, maybe one of his arms being extended with an open hand, creating another light up option and yeah I wish he weighed at least as much as A-bom or Hulk but at the end of the day, it's a freaking 40" Iron Man, how awesome is that ^^^^!

Nuff Said.

Does this mean the Cinemaquette Superman is out?

I think they are, I was making a joke and using the pic for reference.

I've been lucky and my Iron Men haven't had any noticable paint issues. I love my Iron Man 1:1 Bust and can't wait to find a place for this one.

SS can ensure that a primer coat is applied and inspected as part of the QC. QC shouldn't be limited to inspection prior to packing up in a box. It should be provided throughout the entire process.

Possibility, yeah....

Down but not out. I'll cross that financial bridge later

Superman will be an awesome addition next to IM.

I'll be rooting for you man! Like you, I wanted both pieces, but since I also want the QMX Enterprise, I had to let this one go...for now.

SDCC slammed us hard with must own pieces:

Supes
IM
A-bom
Mystique
89 Batwing and Car
92 Batman Cowl
and so on and so forth
and so broke and so poor

It's like being :( and :) all at the same freaking time!
