Windlass Studios is making an Arc Reactor for $150 supposedly. I would imagine SS will carry it.

Sorry I just hate that company. They couldn't even be bothered to dust that Iron Man helmet on display from the looks of it.

Shipping cost/customs to Canada scares me.

Also, I can't imagine having to send this one back if there's paint defects... something to think about.

I bought it directly from a Canadian distributor. So shipping fee and custom dont apply to me.

The Windlass Studios/Museum Replicas versions of Iron Man products have come out really ^^^^ty. The Comic Mark 1 helmets have a really uneven look to them which is acceptable for the silver version since it was supposed to be made with scraps but unacceptable when it comes to the gold because that is supposed to be the refined suit for Tony Stark. Considering that I paid though 1/3 of the MSRP its works. I have no faith in that studio for anything Iron Man.

As for the Arc Reactor 1.0, it is a fan made from a run over on The RPF. the only thing I need is a cover to go over and I'll have one right out of the film.

Just ordered one from bigbadtoystore for $1780 with no deposit.

Ordered my CM Predator from them, one of only few that would ship to Canada, and they were one of the best that I have ever dealt with. Had a problem with the first one and sent a replacement, no questions asked. Plus their shipping charges were almost half of what Sideshow would have charged for an item of that size. They will get all of my oversized products business!

I think the weight of this piece being only 25 lbs might be a mistake from Sideshow. They've been listing the wrong weight on some of the new orders lately. Here's one example: the Zangief PF is listed at only 10 lbs, however, Jerry confirmed that it was a mistake and that it's actually over 30 lbs.

I've been wondering the same, exact thing. I'm hoping it has a little more weight to it, but then again, I can see this being 25 lbs. (Now that my bubble was burst, I'm thinking pessimistically. )

Well, me and the wife just came across a lot of money, enough to pay half of the car off and finally move into a house for the first time. My wife also said that I could get a couple of BIG ticket items. One of them is going to be the Alien warrior maquette, the other I think is going to be this Ironman maquette.

Not quite sure what to get though because there's just soooo much cool stuff coming out. And there's potential for something else to come out that I may like more.... but I doubt it.
