Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

Its a difficult one

My feeling is because you know that scene you assign the concerned expression to it but to me if you look at the sculpt without TDK tinted eyes it can also be a menacing expression

That's quite possible. Which in and of itself would be one of the problems... I see that sculpt, I see Wayne. One of the double edged sword aspects of a sculpt being that freaking spot on.

The hair thing is tough though. I can't have a shorter haired Bateman and think it's spot on to the movie. However, Bateman's hair was about the Wayne length in a lot of the promo material, which looks MUCH closer to the sculpt's length, so I could console myself that way.

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Deckard, dont just stare at it.

EAT it.

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

Just thinking, and we would definitely need someone as talented as Kato making the Bateman suit, because the decade based style and cut of it is the only thing distinguishing it from Bruce Wayne (if we can't get a variant hair style). PMing Adam now.

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

to bad we cant get an adjustment on the hair and smirk from the recent HS

either way id be happy with any commissions dealing with bateman

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

What we need is someone to make us a raincoat. I don't just want Pat in a suit, to most people he's just going to be Bruce Wayne, I need mine to be dripping blood down his face, wearing a raincoat, holding an axe, and no EF stand this time around, I'm gonna newspaper the base.

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

I also would love the suit, shirt and tie by Kato with the open mac

A variant to accomodate the hairstyle would also be dream like

agree 100%

the suit is pointless...we need the raincoat...

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

I'd go so far to say no raincoat option, I may opt out or just use it to make a Bruce Wayne instead, since little else would set it apart, especially if we don't get a variant hairstyle.

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

Sorry to be the party pooper here, but I do recall you said to me "Shame on you, and the line is drawn from here". Are you crossing the line?

With the Adam Bale head due to be released to us I was wondering if them that want to make a Bateman from it would be interested in the white oversuit

Please post if your interested and I will add you to the list, if we get 20 I will send it to Kato & Beto and possibly the tailor Rainman uses to see if they would take this on for us

Here are the sculpt pics

Thanks

Sorry to be the party pooper here, but I do recall you said to me "Shame on you, and the line is drawn from here". Are you crossing the line?

I must say I am a little perplexed that you would want to get back into this

Yes I drew the line and yes I suppose I am crossing the line!

I will say that your Bale is quite simply the best 1/6 portrait sculpt I have ever seen! The fact I got a very sub par Joker head from you for which I take absolutely no responsibility for means I couldn't appreciate this? I couldn't own it?

Do you really want me to go into the whole ''Shame on you thing'' again? I know I don't because like I said the the line was drawn and I moved on when I realised no matter how much I emailed you it seemed you were prepared to do little about it!

Can we move on please?

If you do want to discuss further maybe pm's would be best?

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

1. I sent you pictures before it was shipped, and I told you I would make changes on it before shipping. I did get the approval from you before I mailed it out.

2. It is true I can be hard to reach at times due to my busy schedule, and I apologize for that. But I did emailed you back and offered you the option of mailing it back to me and I'd make changes for you, but you didn't respond. Rather, you were asking to possibly start another joker commission because somebody was willing to buy the head from you.

3. You paid me $350 if I remember correctly, and for a one of a kind limited sculpt that's way below my normal rate (ask neo, intothevoid).

4.And you've been bad mouthing me since then on the forums. I never once drew a line, you did. I'm glad you decided to move on, but I don't think some of the things you say is fair to me.

Oh it was one of a kind alright! It was completely sub par Adam come on! Can you blame me for being so p___d off when I had spent $350 with you then $150 on customs and then a further $80 on correcting the hair? How would you feel?

My Joker compared with every other Joker you did was completely sub standard! I seen a front shot which looked great I admit it but when I received it I was shocked! Do you really need me to post the pictures?

You also sent a $350 head in a cardboard envelope! You maybe one extremely talented guy Adam but that leaves alot to be desired imo! You need to understand what I gave you was alot of money forgetting what others paid you I am not interested in what they paid you but what I paid you! What I got was not worth $150 so please do not wonder why I may have bad mouthed you a little

Also go back through the thread that somebody started up asking where you were, I actually sprang to your defence on many occasions saying you were a decent chap just busy with college that needs time to come through with these masterpieces! What was the thanks I got!

Re: Patrick Bateman Interest Thread

My apology, sorry for my abilities are limited. Maybe you're right drawing the line. It's probably for the good of both of us; that way you wouldn't be dispointed again.

Why are you saying that you know your abilities are not limited as do I!

That Bale is the best 1/6 sculpt possibly on the planet!

If you feel uncomfotable with me being on your Bale list then please remove me I will totally understand
