...I was happy when Denny announced that from that point on, he'd be opening his own threads and handling communications himself. I was a bit disappointed when that turned out not to be the case, but I can see the guy is extraordinarily busy, so makes sense.

Its unfortunate if its really the case that Denny is leaving the forum. I found it not only reassuring but very encouraging that Denny would visit the boards, discuss workflow and take suggestions and criticisms.

I'm sure we all agree that we love Denny being more hands on and interactive. I like getting updates and info from the man himself; this way there's nothing lost in translation or outside factors.

All of the his recent posts gives us a lot of clarification on a lot of different issues. I hope he can find a nice balance of staying with us on the board while still keeping his sanity.

I've talked to many artists and they all say the same thing about forums. Place literally goes from group discussion to witch hunt if something goes wrong.

Its tough love on these forums... but the bottom line (usually and hopefully) is that the criticisms are to make the final figure the best it can be - to a point. Some, with no intention of buying take the attack approach also. Thats what a public forum is unfortunately...
