For what it's worth, it looks like the only deleted posts so far are those that were deleted by the posters themselves. But as I said before, there has been a sordid history of sketchy accusations on this forum and I'm sick of it. So many people here have histories and "beef" that every thread seems thick with BS in every direction. As such, whenever a member certain other members just don't like gets blamed for something, I have to question the validity of such a claim.

But let's play devil's advocate, and assume the accusations in the video are true. What are the implications? That Odell--a known recaster--is, in the process of making accusations about Shortround, throwing this "Gavin," who he seems to have some relationship with, under the bus in the process. As "Gavin" seems to be the agent supposedly supplying the sculpt to Q. Now Gavin can't help supply Q with more sculpts, because folks know his name, and even if they otherwise would provide him sculpts to recast for money, can't be sure he wouldn't ruin their reputation. Does that really make sense? Is the benefit of trying to humiliate Shortround worth tossing that relationship--that led to Odell getting "insider" information in this case--in the toilet. Why would this Gavin person confide this information to Odell to begin with? And what do we know about him that would make him a trusted source of information? Can a single person even identify this person as a real member of the collecting community?

So, it's like I said before--extremely questionable. And as a result, some folks are probably going to go around thinking Shortround did this, whether or not it is true. Best to just keep that garbage to Youtube and off the public forums unless there is something a bit more substantial. We've seen attempts at character assassination recently on the forum, and this seems no different. Lots of members here have done lots of crummy things to each other, and arguably to the hobby in general. But let's focus on reality. And yes, those pictures were posted publicly on the forum in the past--they were not taken by Q.

OMG u don't pay attention do u? Gavin is the name he uses to cover his email address. It is Q because I got several heads from him!!!!!!!!!! The picture of the sculpt was taken here from the board to show what head he used.....never said Q took the photos. You guys everyday want to know who a supplier is and u got one but he's too close to believe it lol. Whatever.....the word got out....long as it's known. Now do we jump into who on here has bought from him??? Long list.....

Like I said....you guys go on for days talking about who on the board has been doing it and now you got one and u throw the innocent card.....SMH. I don't get it Odell, what PROOF is there exactly then? If Q didnt take the pics, and Gavin isn't Q's real name, then the only thing in the above statement worth noting is that YOU BOUGHT SCULPTS FROM Q to use your term 'SEVERAL' times.

Hmmmm all I'm going to say is that video doesn't prove ****. Q's word from an alias email account no less means very little. If its true prove it, show me something that connectors shortround to Q. Show me actual definitive proof he gave that sculpt to Q. If Q got the sculpt with 'thanks hector, trev' on the bottom of it to recast show us all pics of that sculpt in Q's possession.

The video screams "look at me" and is meant to destroy hectors reputation. It Presents no actual proof either. The images of the unpainted cast were posted by hector a long time ago. Trevor is also skeptical of this video. I would ignore it for the time being.

I agree there is not enough proof.

Real proof would have been a picture of Q with that sculpt in his hand, showing the bottom, and clearly showing :To Hector Trevor Grove.

So are we really going to just swept this under the rug, are we just going to ignore all the evidence that has mounted up, really!!!

OK so lets have a look into this, Q has been getting sculpts for it seems like years, even hard to get custom sculpts, some even more limited than the blondie DX, of all those sculpts on Q's ebay more half have been in the possession of the accused. In the case of the blondie dx sculpt, there were three unpainted casts sent out, one of them was to the accused, its really not likely the head used to make the cast Q made came from a painted head because one, Q wouldn't pay full price for a dx figure just to recast because thats not profitable, two no ones going to let someone cast there painted 1000-3000 dollar figures head, and three the only one of those three people had the prior past and locate access to Q.

Its been long suspected that the accused has been the supplier to Q, I personally suspected it from the second I heard it was on ebay and I was not alone in that thought. No one will say anything here because the the extremely tight mod work done on this forum, everytime the subject is brought up, its quickly follow by warnings and threats of action. Yet this whole recaster issue has been a brown stain on the cover of SSF forum, people who buy these high priced customs keep getting screwed cause the value of the limited collectible goes down when this happens, except maybe those who sold out before the recaster starts selling there goods.

The accused did just that, put his figure up for sale right as the recaster was putting up there wears, and to futher seperate it from the recast it was given a special paint job Hmmmmmmm.

As for Odell's evidence its pretty clear, its another damning piece against the accused, yeah its not a photo of hector handing the sculpt to Q some people looking for, but if that's the kind a evidence needed than this situation will never be resolved.

No you don't, as by your math 25 sculpts at 99 dollars a pop and he still hasn't made enough to pay for the dx shortround sold, his dx sold for 2600.00 I believe.

"DX figures are impossible to resell and lose their value" said no one ever. Pfff.... i only sold mine for 3-freaking-grand. Talk about profitable... and to think i didnt have to make a mold or cast it or make 25 ebay listings.

Not saying this one but just pointing out that clearly he will make his money back and then some. I don't think you can just say he wouldn't buy a DX cause it wouldn't be profitable. It clearly would be.
