20 instead of 15 for VIPs seems more fair to me, considering folks did pay for the privilege of, in part, getting early access. Not sure what status of the retailers is here. If you want to reward them for helping you sell your stuff, then could you maybe increase the edition size by 5 or so and divvy those out to them (so, 20 for VIPs, 15 for regular boardies, and 5 more for retailers)? I suspect that more than 35 boardies here are gonna want that DX, putting aside collectors in Asia and elsewhere, and like Pop is suggesting, I think it would be a nice gesture to give regular customers more opportunities.

If there are 35 in total maybe a fair split would be 20 for VIPs and 15 for everyone else. If the Freaks don't buy all 35 by the end of 7-10 days, then whatever’s left can go to your wholesale accounts
I too strongly agree that 20 is the reasonable number for VIPs.
Denny should just open the PO for the DX for like 2 weeks and keep the regular edition open for a while and get as many orders as he can to bring in more revenue.
As it can be pretty costly to run a company like his with a number of sculptors, painters and tailors to hire, and from the C+D of the his other figures, he can certainly use the profit from the sales of this figure.
I'm pretty sure its a win-win solution for both Denny and the buyers.

I second this. New Yorkers do think alike haha. Queens here too, Middle Village.

I'd be all for this approach. There are so many characters where this would be a fine edition size but I think for Blondie (big fanbase and huge crossover appeal -- not to mention influence on other character designs to this day), a larger edition or a couple runs would be ideal.I would actually really dig this. I get that people want exclusivity, but this is one hell of a figure, and I hate knowing that some people are bound to miss out (I just hope that I'm not one of them). It'd also be one step closer in the direction of an official company, rather than customs.
Different strokes for different folks.
here is what we do.
Mainly we do custom works as a team. it's just like other artists
although they are alone, they let make other tailors to make clothes. right? sometimes some accessories,
the main difference is iminime is a company organized with sculptors, painters and tailors. we do works in office.
this project has more artists joined project.
Trevor as sculptor, Chad for boots, gun for oliver.
as we cant maintain our team with custom work profit, we do also making and doing mass production for few companies with mostly licensed figure. we get proper payment for sculpt and consulting.
I and my painter go to factory checking quality from this year.
sometimes we also do our licensed figures too. starting this year.
so whatever you call us is no problem ~~ you will see more works with famous celebrity figure as licensed in this year.
We will be doing Evil dead for ash, and about 6-7 characters more from old movies which I chose will be happening this year.
thanks guys

So if this is an open edition and not limited, you are not gonna buy it?
Increasing Edition size is possible only till a limit at the scale of staff strength they have, 70 is a huge size itself if you think about it... pushing that to 125 is really something. Plus honestly think about it selling 70 or so is a real goo possibility... but 125? does it really guarantee a sell out. We all know custom prices are still not something majority of the collectors agree with. Even now I see frequent posts on facebook complaining on how much custom prices are, and there is a lot of support for it. The majority of the collecting fraternity judge everything on prices set for Mass produced figures...I think a higher edition size for this release (regular version anyway) would make some sense, because "rarity" is a function of both supply and demand. 125 or so of these would be the equivalent of 75 Lectors in the sense of finding buyers IMO because of the relative popularity of the character. But if Denny isn't making huge profits on these, then maybe it isn't beneficial to him to up the edition size.
