Renowned Sculptor Trevor Grove lends his superlative talents in this collaboration with Iminime to bring one of the greatest icons in Cinema History to life in 1/6.

With the combined efforts of both Iminime, Trevor Grove and several more artists (to be revealed shortly), the intent is to create the definitive version of an iconic character loved by generations of collectors and artists alike!

The project is ongoing and there is no list or reservation for it.
Preordering information will be updated when the full figure prototypes are complete.

Denny, what will be the time lapse from the intial VIP offer to the General Public. How many days does the VIP head start extend. At 35 DX is very low. Also, will you impose a 1 per customer rule for VIP since the edition is very low? Please consider making it fair for all customers.

Does Rainman have such a rule? Of course, he has far fewer DX figures available.

Yeah, the membership fee is really only worthwhile if one can see themselves buying multiple figures per year from Iminime, IMO. Although they do great work, this is the first figure from them that I've wanted. I love a lot of the characters they're doing but I'm just not attached enough to them that I need a 1:6 version sitting on my shelf. Plus, even as a VIP, one's not guaranteed a spot, so it doubly doesn't make sense for me.

One way of looking at it. You also get 3 painted headsculpt's (from a list Denny provides and before anybody asks I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this one will NOT be on of them) delivered. If your not interested in any of the sculpts you could possibly sell them on to recoup the cash etc. Your right VIP won't guarantee you one of these but you've got a much better chance of getting it with VIP as opposed to without.

It would have to be one per person. If not, what would stop 5 or 6 of us splitting a $300 VIP and just ordering 5 or 6 and getting them that way? 1 per person or shenanigans will ensue

I think the 1 per customer rule is a good idea and I support it, but like I posted before, it seems that Rainman doesn't do that (for full sets or DXs, which combined have an edition size of the DX Denny is offering here). And I haven't noticed folks complaining about Rainman's policy before. Why is this any different?

The difference is these are competitively priced and Iminime sells to other distributors.

Also, Rainmans VIP is essentially earned, you'd have to have spent at least 3 grand for that privilege. Here any company can just buy a VIP and stock up on probably the best figure they've ever done. The 1 per person is more in line to protect against the toy outlets grabbing up all the stock

I believe the issue that concerns many here is the exploitation of secondary market where sellers inflate prices according to demand and rarity after the item leaves its primary market. I don't think Rainman is interested in addressing such issue, which may leave potential customers aggravated. Let's hope Denny will put in thoughts and consideration into this release in favor of customer satisfaction.

That's fair enough. And like I said I support such a rule and sort of assumed Denny would do this anyway. I just wasn't sure why folks didn't feel the same way about Rainman. Seems to me that Rainman should do the same, no?

I can't name one time I've seen a Rainman figure sold from another toy distributor. Iminime products can be seen sold as pre-orders by other distributors as we speak. Do your research.

And at $550-$600 it is competively priced especially for such an important film character.
Many people are starting to warm up to paying $500 for a 1/6 figure these days. C'mon Kara, you already know all this. Stop playing devils advocate


Again, Iminime is not Rainman! Am i wrong or is iminme more of a Toy Company? Rainman is an artist who's work is the product! Plus you gotta spend 3 grand to even be considered for a VIP spot. Hows that for loyalty!

If anything this is a collaboration piece which makes it even more special. But the numbers are so low for a company
