I think Rainman's system is better based on my experience. Sure, it isn't perfect (I had a real scare recently where I couldn't order because of some glitch associated with my having store credit), but if you go through the check out system in time, before stock is sold out, you will be able to complete the check out process in the vast majority of cases. With Rainman, I've not seen this issue of folks having stock empty out of their carts while stock is still available happening as we saw with the Cowboy yesterday. I know multiple people are defending it, and they may all very well have more technical IT knowledge than I do and can tie this to a conventional checkout problem, but from a logical POV vs. what I've seen with Rainman it clearly seems less ideal and "fair."

But yeah, overall I agree. All the ordering schemes are arbitrary. Still, in Beto's case, he is offering a third run down the road, so chances are by that point he will have satisfied the majority of the market for those willing to drop $860.00 on that character. Same principle could apply here or with any high-demand character.

I get they can't control all the issues people have with ordering but I think that they seriously misjudged the amount of interest in this figure. Before yesterday's release they were saying probably everyone that wants one will get one because of the 85 edition size, the price, not all VIPs being interested, Eastwood being of interest primarily in North America, etc., and looks like they ended-up with a lot of unhappy VIPs. We'll see what happens next week.

Most folks including Denny seem fine with the system as-is, so I don't think he's feeling a lot of pressure to change things. But I also think that when some of these folks who are defending his system miss out because of it they'll be singing a different tune. It is what it is. We do all have a chance. And there is a fairness in that everyone is potentially affected by this. So, I reckon this is what we'll be dealing with from here on.
