Which is why I said Iminime/Rainman is best system. I don't like the randomness of Beto's system. Tell me at what time to order so I can make an appointment after that is up to chance wether I get it or not... it's not a crap shoot as to wether I'll even be online to KNOW its happening. Also, Rainman/Iminime gives you an opportunity to put money aside... Beto is just assuming you have $1000 of available disposable income floating around unused.
Lol, and yet you weren't that cool in Beto's Beetlejuice thread when you missed the second run, Wake.But yeah, overall I agree. All the ordering schemes are arbitrary. Still, in Beto's case, he is offering a third run down the road, so chances are by that point he will have satisfied the majority of the market for those willing to drop $860.00 on that character. Same principle could apply here or with any high-demand character.

You bring up some good points, Entropy. Hopefully this does prove to be the case next week. Certainly looking forward to the chance to pick one of these up.
I was responding to your original post, before you edited it (in regards to Iminime process), but yeah, I definitely can see how some people could get frustrated with the randomness of Beto's system. I think the "surprise, mother****er" nature of it probably is effective at freezing out speculators, though. Doesn't seem to be a lot of flipping with his stuff, thankfully (aside from that example yesterday in the same thread).
This is the only other custom I'm interested in, at the moment, too. Good luck, philmah.

I actually think this release is amazing...Ive never heard of a company adding editions to a product before release.
Ill be trying next week to score one...I get one..ill be happy...i miss it...congratulate all that scored and keep it moving to the next release...cuz we all know theres always THAT NEXT RELEASE.

I believe axe said he was going to release those pre-orders when the full pics came out, and in the VIP e-mail he said those pics would be shown in "mid April." So next week sounds right.

That's exactly what it is; the preferred way is one in which everyone wins
I have no problem with the way everyone chooses to runs their business; after all, it's their prerogative. Rainman, Iminime and all others who work that way are probably the most "fair" but I don't fault Beto for his method. No one likes to miss out and everyone likes to win but we have to see things from their side too.
Like Beto runs a really small shop and takes a REALLY long from start to finish. Beetlejuice for example; that interest thread started more than a year ago. The people who got in on the first run paid 6 MONTHS ago and we just received our figs recently. His method works for him and in a sense has a "luck of the draw" aspect in its own right. An argument can be made that all interested parties have an equal chance with his method too. But there are ways to increase your chances with his method. First and foremost is the most obvious; you gotta keep your eyes peeled and pay attention! The good old fashioned way! It's nothing new that you can miss out if you go take a wiz at the wrong time in this game. BTW a little hint for those who don't know; you can set notifications to your phones on specific threads that your subscribed to. You'll get an alert with every new post in that thread
And as for ES's, everyone is doing what they can handle. Denny clearly wants to double, triple & quadruple Iminime's output but they're not there yet (his goal is to mass produce licensed properties). And they are definitely not allergic to making money so that's not why they don't just increase their output. They have deadlines and other projects. They are definitely not the giant team/assembly line that people may assume they are. They're under 10 guys when you exclude the trainee and Denny (he doesn't sculpt, paint or tailor).
Actually they make BY FAR the biggest runs of all the full fig customizers in the community. Rainman would be the runner up if you tally up all the full sets, H&C's, clothes only & heads; but he only pumps out 4-5 offerings per year. Iminime is in business slightly over a year to date if you start counting from Ra's (the Messi & Corleone threads started 2 months before that). They have completed and shipped medium to large runs of 11 different offerings in that time. Nobody else here is doing that; not Serang, Velvet, Beto, Rainman or anyone else who has offered full figs.
The point is they are making HUGE runs in the big scheme of things. There will always be people who miss out on custom items for whatever reason and that's just a reality of collecting this stuff.
I'm not trying to start an argument either. Just sharing my POV and trying to put certain things in perspective
