Re: [iminime] / Trevor Grove - *Secret Project* The Cowboy ~ SCULPTS REVEALED ~
Denny's system isn't fine, and the problem had nothing to do with my local internet speed or bandwidth.
The problem is his checkout system doesn't limit the number of "add to cart" clicks based on the total number of items that are in inventory.
There were 20 of these available, the first 20 people to click "add to cart" should have been able to complete checkout within a reasonable time without worrying that the item was somehow "stolen" from the cart, and unlucky number 21 should have gotten an error when he clicked on "add to cart" that prevented him from continuing to the checkout process.
The competition should end at the "add to cart" click, then the buyer should be allowed a minimum of 60 seconds to complete checkout, and if they don't, then the inventory if returned to the database and available for the next person to "add to cart".
My computer, bandwidth, and internet were not the problem last night and I should have been able to get a DX.
Absolutely...but on your end is where it counts...Denny's system is fine...he loves you guys..but in no way I see him getting a new monster server by next week (took Nike 5 years to upgrade there's)
What's matters is your systems as home...go to speedtest.net and test your speed...if you got anything lower than 5mbps, you already lost.
My laptop hardwired pushes 25-30mbps and my iPad on wifi pushes 9mbps.
You shouldn't be ordering while on wifi...always be hard wired directly to modem...the few Denny mentioned that checked out at 9am probably where hard wired and pushing 20+Mbps...they flew past the traffic.
