The only improvement I really see is the way it sits flatter on the shoulder traps. The stock cape sort of floats on the shoulders unless if water futz down. Now is that worth $70? Debatable. The color doesn’t look any darker as well and the way it drapes down looks pretty identical to the stock.

Jaxon posted that he’s made new capes for this InArt figure that are different than is previous HT capes. He said the stock InArt cape is similar to his older HT capes. I’ve asked if these new capes will be darker than his previous ones but haven’t gotten a reply yet. It’s hard to tell from the photos

Here’s Waruna’s latest painted BR Superman sculpt. He’s got more pics on his Facebook I think.

Here’s Unleashed Viper’s headsculpt from mid 2023. Not the best photos but all I could find. If I have a chance to take some myself, I’ll DM them to you sometime this week if interested. I have this sculpt

Heh they definitely are but as @BrooklynWolf X mentioned, the protos were pretty nice. At the time, they were pretty cool though, and the Superman figure was an improvement over the 1.0 figure. However, I think the singular Clark Kent release was better than the 2 pack version. That said, gotta also remember that those figures are over a decade old at this point. They should look pretty bad/dated compared to today’s standards.

The 2nd one looks great! The 1st one isn’t bad, and I know exactly what expression the artist was going for. Solid attempt though!

I swear it’s no different looking in his pics than the previous BvS cape he offered. I had that one on my InArt figure for a moment but the color was too bright for me, and I preferred the way Unreal’s looks/lays on the traps/collar area. But I don’t think Unreal is offering his anymore, so Jaxon’s may be the only option.

Agreed. I hate the way the stock cape lays on the traps/shoulders.

As for color, they are nearly identical in tone, with Jaxon’s being just a touch warmer in hue.

I don't see anything at all. I like the stock cape, it is super flowy and expensive material. Idk why everyone is obsessed with changing parts. lol
Because for me at least, tinkering is a big part of the fun of this hobby. Though I understand easily why others prefer to leave their figures stock.

And personally I really didn’t like the way IA’s cape sits and their peg/slot cape attachment design. Makes swapping between wired and drape really destructive to that thin rubber collar.

It’s a blue dress/black dress kinda thing. Some may not see a difference between how these two capes look and fit, but others might.

I see the difference and it looks amazing, but that “flat sitting” cape placement is also manageable with a stock cape, just needs some water and patience. Personally I love the stock fabric and it sits pretty fine on my display figure.I don’t see myself paying 70$ for a cape as I already paid 460$ for each Superman I got lol but lot of people gonna be happy for the opportunity.

To me, there are millimetres in it. If I had spent money getting the figure, I just couldn't justify spending another $70 on something that you wouldn't notice at a glance.
You’re not wrong, lol! It is millimeters, but that’s how insane some of us are about this stuff (I’m pointing a finger at me here). But yeah, I’ve seen some get the stock cape looking better with some futzing too. So a new cape isn’t really necessary for the normal collector. But I like the effect of the Unreal. Plus it has a darker richer red color that I like.

For anyone curious here’s a look at the Jaxxon cape on the figure (left) and the Unreal on the other (right)

Curiously you can also see the production variations in the suit from figure to figure. The suit on the right is noticeably more transparent for some reason. It’s not lighting, as it’s clear to the naked eye in hand as well. And I haven’t done anything to either suit, they arrived at the same time out of the box like that.

Like you guys, I’m not seeing much difference in Jaxon’s “new” drape cape compared to his previous HT ones. If it was darker, I’d for sure try to get one if what @rory said was right that Unreal might not be making his anymore as the darker color makes a more visual impact to improving the accuracy overall. Jaxon’s wired cape does look darker though to my eyes and therefore more accurate. However, I’m not much for wired capes. I prefer drape ones.

What I do like about both Jaxon’s and Unreal’s is not just how it lays on the traps, but also the coverage. They have wider coverage of the traps along with the way they seem to naturally curve around both the neck shoulders.

That said, the idea of spending even more money on what I feel is an already overpriced figure is not ideal, especially if it’s not looking much different than stock.

For sure. The Unleashed Viper’s I feel captures Routh’s version much better. Waruna’s is mostly based off of one still from when he’s confronting Lex on “new Krypton”

I effin hate FB/google….

Just as we briefly mentioned/referred to the sculpt, this popped up on my FB-

Unbelievable…
It’s pretty crazy how much they “listen”

My girlfriend and I can be physically talking about something and the next time she opens Instagram, she’ll have reels and content relating to what we were talking about 🤯

Has anyone modded the calves on this yet? It's mod I rarely see on Superman figures, but he really does have large calves and tight ankles on his boots.
That would probably be a nice looking mod, but bk it seems like the boots are affixed in a way that would make me really wary to mess with that part of the figure.

What are their character heights in their respective films? An official reference.

Yes, most of the time, the character height equals the actor height, but not always.
Superman is the same height as Batman in BVS, so the figure seems accurate. Supes is a couple inches taller than Henry Cavill.

Did you just add a few drops of water on the cape on his traps, or did you also push it down or otherwise manipulate it?
